Further more it's sad that someone with her level of education doesn't even have the self respect to sound educated especially on a public platform. She also was not at all correct in most the shit she said. Talking about how brains are more susceptible to psychedlics... It's common knowledge in Neuroscience that the human brain immediately builds a tolerance to alkaloids making it 100xs harder to feel the effects of a psychedelic 1 or 2 days following initial consumtion.

In response to 420 junkie: She is describing a very subjective experience though; it's not part of her professional life, even if it provided her inspiration to approach her career differently. She's not doing a science talk here. Being as research on psychedelics (DMT especially) it's pretty spotty, it's hard to do an honest science talk. But there's still value in subjective experiences. I'm happy to hear "trip reports" by different types of people. Never even noticed the "likes" until I read people mocking her in the comments.

I had a similar experience under anesthesia after having my child by c section. Her saying "like" is her trying to put into words the indescribable. She is young, engaging and has an open mind. So she is also very warm and friendly. Otherwise she would be too much of a stuffed shirt to try something this daring. I know from the unfortunate experience of surviving a traumatic brain injury that it is nearly impossible to explain alternative brain function. To articulate cognitive shifts so that people will grasp the enormity of it from the inside of your own mind. People think they get it. But they don't, really. How would you describe the color blue in numbers? That's how hard it is to convey struggles from a brain injury or likely from a drug trip. I have never taken hard drugs. But I did have heartbreaking struggles to regain neurological function after my accident. And I know how incredibly complex the mind can be from fighting toward whatever recovery I could manage. So give her a break. She is defining a different neurological state than the norm. And she isn't stupid. She is likely blazingly smart. She is trying to verbalize deep brain sensations in almost impossible terms. It took me a long time to be able to type out my thoughts again. Every little victory was hard fought. So I hope what I wrote is understandable. Thank you.

Some species do not have this homely sensation. Octopi for example are rather isolationist. Which means its not universal which means its evolved because we specifically are mammals. Which means its not got to do with anything mystical. Also some DMT is in the cerebrospinal fluid in very small amounts naturally occurring, so we cannot rule out evolution and ergo logic causing it. Besides, the fact its custom tailored for a human to feel this way should prove its not universally neutral like we would expect a god to be. You are very well-informed! But there are so many things that we can't explain, and the whole topic is overwhelming. Most civilisations and their religions tell the story of man being created by god(gods), and if we were to stay in that mindset, the abilities of us humans were "given to us by the gods", custom tailored as you put it. That story of course also reveals the extent of the human ego, but it does give some sort of purpose/responsibility. Scientists have in recent years unravelled a lot of mysteries of the universe that just has revealed new mysteries, and it's surprising to hear some of them even talk about a force(s) (in lack of better a better word) that in some way fit what we once would call "god" - I think the use of the word "god" is conflicting to me because I automatically think of the god in modern religion. I'm personally not convinced that DMT is an hallucination, the experience people have is surprisingly similar... there's a consistency to it (a shared experience) that hallucinogenic experiences usually lack. The reason she says "like" a lot is because it's really, REALLY hard to verbalise these kinds of experiences. Personally I say "err.." and "um..." as my personal "sound you make when you're thinking of the right word to say next", but some people use "like" and that doesn't by default make them stupid.

I returned from Afghanistan and left the Army and had 2 DMT trips, prior to the experiences I was thinking negative towards death and being killed and the division between the human race. DMT changed my neurological order by simply whispering to me in a dazzling darkness - Love is real, nothing else. Positive thinking over negative and the trip completely changes. This is really interesting, what Dr Ross described is the 5 stages of the trip which usually happens after a few strong hits. You see she said it - "our brains get trained over time" its called society and culture conditioning, we are all connected and the same species but every single person is unique and different in their own way. Culture is not our friend, it can be nice - yeah and also the opposite, that's because its a universe of all possibility. The one main thing I got from my experiences is this: What is the whole purpose behind life? Gods if they do exist and not a fabricated human concept, what is their purpose and who created them? There is reasons behind everything in this world and universe and you believe science, so why cant you believe in our own intuition, im sure one day we shall find out, but its fun to discuss in the meantime, no one is right or wrong, it is simply this - its a world of pure possibility!!

If you are the user and doing it alone it will be almost impossible to recall what your body have done in the physical world after a trip, but if you are trip-sitting someone else and the individual manages to breakthrough some very serious sh*t can be going on. I showed DMT to a couple friends of mine in the previous years, but only two of them were able to hold in in their lungs long enough in order to have a life changing experience. When it happened for the first time I was shocked to witness the demonic movement of someone else when they are gone. @Halie Symmons One laying in their bed or whatever like they are sleeping is very likely to happen if one did not reach a certain point (usually called a 'Breakthrough'). These cases that I described were about VERY loaded people. It also worth mentioning that the difference between a Breakthrough experience and a "simple DMT trip" experience is indescribable. I have been using DMT for quite a while now and I have to say that in the first couple of years when I was using it with improper technique I thought that I am doing everything just fine, and DMT is what I have experienced back then. But then I had to realize that I was soooo wrong. When it comes to this magical substance EVERYTHING is about the proper technique and in my experience 95% of the users does not realize this thus they are wasting a lot of DMT and also they are not aware of the real effects of the substance. I think this might be the reason why you have read those reports beforehand.

When I did 4 tabs of LSD(don't try until ready) I saw an energy being that felt like god and it handed me the entire universe to hold in my arms as if it was a new born baby. I was so nervous but when I held it close to myself, the entity told me not to worry and to feel how light it was in my arms. I was crying and thanking it so much for sharing this with me. It's almost like trying to explain what colors are to someone who was born blind or what music sounds like to someone who was born deaf. My explanation was the best way to put into words exactly how I felt. The experience was an immense connection to everything in our universe. It's almost like experiencing the first memory of waking up ever and your trying to make sense of the world around you.. my best advice is to be completely open to everything you experience while under this state of consciousness. Another way to put it, it was as if I was going through a file cabinet of every strong memory imprinted in my brain that really affected me(good and bad).. I was able to see them through a new outside perspective. Memories that made me happy which, in turn, had me feel an absolute euphoria. And memories(or traumas) that made me cry, but immediately were lifted off of me and I felt better. I felt the presence of an outside force(entity; perhaps god or something) that comforted me and I felt love and acceptance... This is the best I can do to explain it. Again, I am not trying to convince anyone to do this. It's just that for me, it helped me feel at peace. Everyone must make their own mind up of whether they want to do this or not.. i hope this may have helped.

@@myself1769 oh I completely agree with you 100%... My whole life I have always rejected religion. It was mostly because I was just told to "believe in it because I told you to" by "grown ups". The problem is A) I don't work like that lol. And B) those same grown-ups were terrible people(not all, just the ones that counted most). Church failed me as well(long story). So, naturally, I rejected any spiritual or god talk. In fact, I started to not burden myself with even caring to connect with anything of the sort and instead turned to inspirational real life people.. However, I knew something was always off when it came to why life is the way it is.. My experience with LSD has definitely impacted me on my beliefs or lack there of. I know I felt the presence of a higher power. The most amazing part about that was that this higher power(or god if you want to call it that) also made me feel unconditional love. In short, I believe there is something out there and it loves us all.

Honestly that's highly unlikely. It doesn't change the way you think, only what you "see" and observe. You might be scared at first but in all likelihood astonishment is what you will experience more than anything. LSD or mushrooms are more likely to cause this, but only if you have some underlying psychological issues such as dormant schizophrenia. Psychedelics are some of the safest substances around if you do things right, such as a positive set and setting, and not doing them in times of emotional stress. They amplify what you feel, so if you are sad they will make you really sad, and vice versa. DMT can really free you in a spiritual sense, I was a dead set atheist before I started tripping, now I'm not so sure. There is definitely something out there that we can't comprehend without the aid of psychedelics but I don't know what it is. It sure as hell isn't what religion says it is though, if the people in history who wrote religious text had access to DMT and other powerful psychedelics, the world would be a very different place.

The first time I read the translation of the emerald tablets of toth/the kybalion, it was like reading something I had written about what I learned when I "passed out" during my strongest peak. About 80% of everything in it with matching in detail. Your comment aswell, it´s a very accurate description of my theorising suspections about the shapes you form when you pass through. I remember it, "the ALL", communicating information through these patterns.
