I find it does help temporarily when I'm feeling pangs of stress. I'll try doing it for 5 minutes straight and add it to my routine. Do you recommend the practice in the morning or evening ideally?

Do you believe thats why cold bathing assists? It’s not the cold it’s the actual shock to the body and thus the sort of “sighing” and “gasping” created by that act of cold water on the skin?

How does this differ from 4-7-8 breathing?
@RespireOfficial
@RespireOfficial 5 ай бұрын
It is similar to 4 7 8 in the extended inhale and exhale, but adds an extra quick inhale in the middle to maximally inflate the lungs and open the alveoli of the lungs.

Let's look at ourselves through the eyes of a mouse. We put a mouse in a box that has a lever. By lowering the lever, he gets food randomly every time. This makes the rat constantly anticipate the reward, so dopamine is released and pushes the lever. If this lever is in the forest and the mouse knows about it, it prefers to press the lever all the time instead of looking for food. What will happen if by pressing that lever, his sexual need, his curiosity and his need to be loved will be fulfilled. The mouse thinks it's good for him, because it satisfies his needs without effort, but he doesn't know that this will destroy him. All the mice in the forest play with levers and no one reproduces or talks to others or anything. Only that lever. After some time, instead of adapting to the forest and other things, his mind adapts to the lever. His brain is no longer useful for the real world. Also, this lever has reduced the sensitivity of his brain to dopamine, because due to the randomness of the lever, a high level of dopamine is secreted in his brain all the time. This will motivate him to lower the lever, but what's the point? Let's go to the result. After a few weeks, the rats were depressed and drug addicts. And since they did not reproduce, their generation was destroyed. So, I have a question for you. If I told you that I have a pill that can easily solve all your needs, would you buy it from me?
