"He remembered the opening ceremony, the descent. The ritual that took place outside a fishing village. A village for fathers. For their many regrets. The fish having dried and blown away, the sea aching further back from the shoreline, the beach like a long blanket of dried bread at their feet. Those who stayed in the village became desert people. Those who ventured into the deepening desert, desert nomads, became the new sea people once they reached the sea again."

This feels like summer 19. I was on holiday in Poland, Wroclaw, with my mother. We went through Shindler's factory and all these famous places. We visited many synagogues. After that, we went to visit the past concentration camp site. There was only one SSman house left. Prefabs were all around the place. If it wasn't for several information signs, you'd not know. The place was quiet, people were walking around, dogs were running through the place. In very difficult way, the place got its resolution. The evil died with past memories and now all the souls got to run around with little dogs. "Anna's ghost all around".

It sounds like the feeling of being in a relationship with someone you could never.
