Neutral secured is not detected Volvo D13 no start

Problem was a blown fuse caused by a bad wire from the gear selector!!!

Thank you so much. Nextran Volvo in Orlando tried to sell me a whole new shifter box because it wouldn't start sometimes. Well, we were at a weigh station in Texas, and it finally wouldn't start at all. I pulled the fuse and it looked good, except there was oxidation on the contacts. I popped in a new fuse, and she started right up. Thank you again, you probably saved me $$$ on a tow bill.

Hi there, I’d like to add something to this video… everything what you guys explained was correct and one more thing, I had the same problem and the same message on my Volvo and all the fuses and the relay was good and than I realized that the message appears only while I’m sitting down on the driver seat, as soon as I get up the message would disappear…😂 so I realized that my seat was pushing on some wires that were going under my seat to i-Shift controller. Imagine that…😂 But thank you so much for the advice’s. ✌🏻

Yes you are definitely right! Here after installing new fuses was able to drive until first stop after blown fuse again and again need to replace it! And the problem was the same , looks to be common for Volvo! Bad wire that goes to the shifter under the seat!

I have found some similar comment to that (check your connection under the driver sit ) .. good note . My was coming on and off at the bumps, I thought was battery connection but could be your situation)

Good info . Got stuck in the middle of parking lot . Same issues However Non of my fuse was blown . After cleaning the battery teminals had to pull the relay and put it back (made it like a reset ) to get me out from neutru situation . Im worried that the "gear maintenance " will come back on me and get me stuck . Kinda comes on and off when driving . (Someone mentionedto check the wires under drivers seat - comes on/off while driving , specially at the bumps). but if starting to back up under load , it can give you hell and get you stuck on neutru proble. .Hope is nothing internal.

Question....what if you have no power to f68 and f 69 fuse? Fuses are good, relays good, replaced transmission harness due to damage/ rub spots, good battery connections.

If it will blow the fuse again it mean you have a short somewhere! But at least by replacing the fuse you will be able to get where you need!

My truck had low battery power. Whirled over three times so i stopped. Hooked up my jumper box to jump start it cranked half a crank and then says "neutral secured is not detected". Replaced F68 and F19 fuses with new. Still saying the same message. Even put new batteries on the truck. Any ideas?

can't shift the gearbox and it won't start. checked all the fuses. when starting there is a click on the fuses or on the relay. before stopping the gearbox did not work as standard

I have the same issue but I didn't try to change the fuse ; instead I fill air to my truck from another truck. After the psi reaches 60 and above, it starts.

Volvo full automatic transmissions have a designated air tank . Small tank left side of side of truck , there is a pressure protection valve on tank that may be plugged .Air system to 150 lbs , may clear blockage . This is not for the Eaton Fuller Ultra Shift 2 .Maybe heat valve with caution .

I just got broke down , like I put it on Drive I push to gas pedal no acceleration the truck don’t move and than I put it on reverse and push gas pedal no acceleration there is no movement and I put it neutral and push gas pedal lots of acceleration, I don’t know what is going on I can’t move and stucked here

@@dannyg.817 Then you need to put air in your system and release the breaks and put in neutral and roll it couple meters if its uphill od downhill if not you gonna need someone to pull your truck
