@@Rezisorss Yeah, 11 years of trying and finally he achieved it. That's some determination. He has never given up, even though even in this final rally of 2024 it almost slipped from his grasp because of technical difficulties, he just kept going. His championship certainly is well deserved.

Congrats to Thierry and Martin! As an Estonian i am sad because of Otts off, but i didn't really expect for him to surpass Thierry points wise. Thierry has shown that he has nerves of steel. I can't even imagine what he feels after fighting for this goal for so long and finally achieving it. Congratulations once again!

Nerves of steel indeed! Not letting an eight time world champion get under his skin. He acted like a champion this whole season and was on top of the points consistently. A lot of us complain about the points system, but Thierry decoded it very fast and took advantage of it. Clever and consistent. They clearly deserve this.

I remember in 2013 when he got five podiums in a row. There was no doubt in my mind that he would be a future champion. But goodness, I didn't think it'd take this long. Regardless, huge congratulations to Thierry and Martijn. 🙌🏆

Neuville is so deserving of this title; he has been a Ninja warrior for the past many years, carving away tenaciously with an amazing heart, we rarely see in other winning drivers that often felt aloof and casual. I remember so many interviews with TN meters from the line where he was really pissed off, for whatever reason his stage worked out badly, and that is rare to see. In a sense, Neuville reminds me of Ayrton Senna (whom I met several times), that was so incredibly focused and never accepted finishing second, or third; there is something in the way he sees the world, in his eyes, that reminds me of Senna as well, that is, he may be giving an interview, but all he sees ahead of him is a patch of road, always. Oscar Piastri is like that too, and so is Max Verstappen, the two Sébastiens, and I dare say Rovanperä. It is a select group in my opinion.

No one deserved it more than them. Because of the way they handled the season since the start but also because it's truly inspiring to see someone who was consistently at the top of their game and denied so many times still have the drive and belief to make it. Bravo!

Well done, Neuville. This was the season when he had his big chance with Rovanperä and Ogier being part-timers and he took it. It doesn't take anything away from it because he was the fastest one out of the ones who did the whole season

Wasn't Loix a flop in WRC? Not dissing him, but Mitsubishi only kept Loix because of sponsorship money from Marlboro, rather than his performances

@@Chr.Monika6469 during his time with Toyota, he has not allowed to beat Oriol, exemple in Spain his car war configuration to under-steer, like its the style from Oriol from the time with Lancia, Freddy prefere an oversteer car, so last day on Catalonia Rally he could change set up and was faster then Oriol, could see i with naked eyes, after i spoke to him and he agreed and I saw how its frustrating him

Great result for these two aside, just a general remark on why rallying is so great and pure, seeing the driver co-driver do the tyre and setup changes and putting away the tools and putting back on their helmet and gear all while being on the side of the road for passerbys to see and get close to the car and for competitors and media to get close and congratulate the winners, man it's a petrolhead's pure pleasure. The natural joy from such a video is really hard to get from something from F1. Thank you, Dirtfish. Thank you, teams. Thank you, Rallying. Thank you, Petrolheads.

Maybe Makkinen leave too early and let behind an hesitating Latvala, or Mr Toyoda's bet on his protegee Taka San is a bad bet... When you hold in part time champions like Rovampera and above all Ogier, this is the rezult.

And both Ogier and Rovanperä didn't want to drive a full season. No one could have forced them to do it. - If Toyota wouldn't allow them to do so, any other team would have. As they are the the best. - Kalle has succeeded this year in Drifting, and Porsche Cup. And tested also RB8 F1. 😉 Couldn't have done those if not a part time in WRC.
