In a season with Loeb, McRae, Sainz, Makinen, Gronholm, Martin, Burns, Panizzi, Rovanpera, and Petter with only one win in 2002 was nearly out of the favorites in 2003, but he did it ans in great style :)

And that's why I loved Peter Solberg. For his spontaneity and joy. If I won the WRC rally, I would be so happy and not just stand there and wave my hand twice if someone forced me to do so. We should be happy about winning, like Solberg, and not as if we had to do it, I don't know, as a punishment, like Loeb or Tanak.

I wish i couldve been alive for Colins title and his 2 close calls, but winning the title in 95 was the greatest moment in the sport. Kalle winning his was stellar too maybe even the best moment in the modern era of the wrc

Gran video.

1995, 1998, 2001, 2003 and of course, 1983, as well as 1982 to 1986. The best rally seasons ever. Colin McRae and Walter Rohrl & Henri Toivonen are three of the greatest rally drivers of all time. Group B is the best era of rallying by far. :)

I always feel nervous about champions celebrating after the last stage, because they haven't technically 'finished' the rally. They still have to reach final time control to make it official. They could therefore lose their title on the road section afterwards - which would be more heartbreaking than Carlos in 1998
The scene of Sainz breaking down before the finish line was heartbreaking. I can still remember seeing it. I couldnt believe Where is the video Loeb winnig the championship watching last rallies home on the sofa when he was injiried durring the 2006 season

Autosport International Rally Driver Award 2000 to Richard Burns instead of Marcus Grönholm, who raced his first full season and won the title, is the clearest example of Autosport's British bias.
