I recently purchased a 08 Prius; I have driven hundreds of cars through my life and this one is about bulletproof as far as reliability: and simplicity! I also had a thunderstorm take power out from Wednesday till Monday morning: and I slept in the Prius because it was so humid and hot in the summer in Michigan…. Yeah I was comfortable in my air-conditioned Prius all night

Such useful content! Only note is the AC and charging power in a hybrid does runoff the 12v battery not the hybrid, but when that runs out the hybrid battery starts the car which then charges the 12v battery. Which does use some gas. Obviously much less than a typical car since it's not running all the time! I was really confused about this and spent some time researching haha. Happy hybrid traveling!
@boobtubeakatv12962 жыл бұрын
NOPE... Sorry to correct your thinking... The Prius AC does run strictly off only the hybrid battery pack and not the 12 volt... The 12 volt only handles the fan that blows the air... Also, being there is NO Alternator nor Starter in a Prius, ALL charging and starts are provided by the hybrid system only.... The 12 volt only handles accessories & the computers.. Enjoy a Peaceful Day ;)
@charlesharris2749 Жыл бұрын
@@boobtubeakatv1296 not only that, but as I found out the hard way, the hybrid battery starts the car, not the 12 volt.... my 12volt died and I replaced it before I found out I needn't be is such hurry, because if I put my foot on the brake then released for 2 min... or some such voodoo, I don't exactly recall, the hybrid battery will start the car.

Thanks for the video. I’ve contemplated getting a Prius to live in also because the MPG is so great & it is still big enough to sleep in. Still renting but sick of paying & do miss adventuring/exploring. I’m reaching out to other ppl who live in their vehicles & asking friends for potential overnight parking/stay in vehicle spaces. My main option I’m exploring is the Toyota Previa. Love the style & think it’s a good starter van. Someone in my area specializes in them & fixes them up to re-sale for affordable prices. @susie98933 жыл бұрын
Reviews seem mixed on this mattress. Some ppl swear by it, others complain of punctures. But I've not read anyone dissing the comfort. My understanding is that it's part padding, part self-inflating, so even if it does puncture, while you won't be as comfortable, you won't be flat on the ground either. Also I've heard that it can be patched effectively with a tire patch kit (which most car campers carry anyway)

@Nev4 Жыл бұрын
Most important thing is to get a sleeping set up that you can tolerate. Since it’s only one summer, you don’t need to do anything super crazy to your car. Summer is great, not as cold at night, you can sleep with the windows cracked to avoid crazy condensation, you can download apps like ioverlander to help get you started with finding places to fill up water and park at night, although I never use the app anymore because it’s just second nature. Final piece of advice, you don’t need a perfect plan in place before you start. Just start and you’ll figure it out! Cheers!
