I got full body workout, hot shower inside, washer and dryer inside, 24" tv inside, cooking pot inside, real refrigerator accessible from the inside without going out, sleeps 2 inside, and can still give 5 people ride as if it hasn't been modified. I have been driving a gen 2 prius for about 16 years; it was my mothers car that I drove out of high school and now drive daily for work since she retired. My question for you is, have you ever dealt with snow? Our gen 2 prius loaded down with nothing but me and maybe another passenger is like a pig in mud. I can even get the low traction dash light on some very light gravel on top of blacktop. If you hit the tiniest of potholes, you feel it slip. Its got 210k on it now and has been a very reliable and fuel efficient car. So I can totally understand the attraction to it when driving around the country. Just curious how it handles in less optimal conditions, is all.

@@MarcillaSmith Oh wow! I had to google that. Very cool, Toyota will have their own line of electric vehicles! I like the idea of buying a super efficient electric vehicle and driving it around the country, but for maybe only an hour or two in the evening to get to the next destination. Then have enough portable solar panels to charge the batteries in the day time. It would be similar to sailing a boat to travel on the water using "free" energy, just like the car could travel only using the sun's "free" energy.

For those of you who run commuter cars and want to get into it, the absolute best first purchase you can make is a rear hatchback tent, mines called "La Duta" it was like 60 buck on amazon and expands living space inside the car by 2 feet, and keeps the bugs out/cool air flowing through your vehicle.

Hello sir. I am a prius owner 2 i have a 2012 prius drive it for 5 years now. And drove 200.000 kilometers with it. Never had any problems or costs. Just the yearly maintaining. . Also great cargo space for vacation trips with the family. And it drives very cheap in gasoline. ( here the gas price is €2,00 for one liter! And one gallon is 3,8 liter) ) So a big suv or truck doesn’t make sense in my country. After 5 years the prius gets boring. Specially when it’s my only car and daily driver. It’s great and reliable. But boring.. and it get allot of negative comments and hate. It’s just not popular. I also don’t like the oldschool green dashboard lights.. you would think that in 2012 they already had full led color bright dash lights and most cars had that.. but the prius still got that oldschool 80s 90s weak green light.. i think they could do a better job on that. In the end best car i ever had. Not the most exited but the must trustworthy
