I would like more based on geography or science. Hard to find good in depth geography games. By the way, I have lived in a Nevada City (In California) for 10 years - it is very beautiful here. Is there snow in the game?

@@TheLatestRetroBoardGameShow That is good! We live in the high part of Nevada City (Above 3500 ft) and we get a LOT of snow. Downtown where the game is located they probably get only 8” but it would still make it hard to get a wagon through town. Glad it is accurate :)

I've played my first game the other day and it was fantastic. I love the art (being an artist myself), I too think that there's a lot of theme in this euro and I love the choices you have to make. It's a well made game, a thinky euro but it's, at the same time, full of events that makes it a game with a lot of theme. I love it.

Getting quite annoyed that theme is only given to (dark) dice rollin' combat games.... Where is the theme in that? It's the miss use of the term. For me theme is a cohesion of original idea/story in combination withe great art to lift the idea/story to a 'world' you can play in. This game seems pretty decent!

I'm with you on themes with euro games, as well as enjoying 19th century American west/train themes. For me, thematic integration is quite important, especially the heavier a game gets. I don't like solving arbitrarily complex puzzles. Yeah I can do it, but I could be spending my time on a game where the heaviness directly contributes to artistic expression of a theme or idea, whether simulative or expressionist.
