We find ourselves with limited time again. 2 pre ran cars need to get put back together to go derby in lewistown, mt. Follow along and see how we straighten these cars out, plate frames, and swap parts to make them worthy again.

I myself say to hell with everyone else u cant make everyone happy u build the car how u want to fk them. I like how ur building them. Like the average joe out in the back yard. U dont have a fancy shop with a lift u do everything on the ground. I straighten my frames the same way but i also use my big maple tree. She helps alot lol. Keep up the good videos

It happens all the time my friend. I was kicking ass with a monty ice racing. I went to a new lake for a winter. When we got to the final race I was first in points. It was too warm the ice was too soft but they ran the race anyway see I was in first. So they made it double points. and ran it. The track broke up. They did not stop for the as a normal. They moved the track a jeep fell through they guy and his child almost went down. I cut the plastic back window and the dad pushed the kid up to me 2 other guys pulled dad out the back just as it went under. Stop racing? No run it. I still kicked as got to the feature and my exhaust was falling off we were running in deep snow now. There was bumpers and parts flying off and dragging on other cars. My pipes broke off slid off the track and they black flagged me on the last lap. That gave 1st for the year to the local fav. Don't worry tracks like that loss lots of drivers. They no longer race at that spot no one showed the next year.

I’m in the same boat with ya on selling out I’m not a car guy I run mowers it’s cheaper and that’s what I can afford but the amount of bs and drama that happens at the shows I go to is absurd. Is mowers a thing out that way I know in Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky they have pretty good turnouts.

No I've never seen a mower derby in person, just in the back yard when I was younger lol.

@@tadavids4344I didn’t figure they was a thing out that way, we’re so hard up for derby vehicles we use combines buses mowers. Big cars on this end is a dying breed it’s all fwd small cars.

I guess favoritism is everywhere. I’ve been in that situation build to the rules and your the only one without plate on the frame because the rules say no added metal but they nit pick a hump chain on my car 🤡The derby drama. My favorite is when someone runs their mouth about how it’s just a derby idk why someone gets upset after them and six of their buddies all beat on one car. Then when they don’t win they are jumping out of their car ready to fight . Bad promoters, bad payouts and double standards ruins the sport. $1000 for first if you beat six of my buddies plus the nut hugger wannabees.Promoters wonder why a low car count but continue to drive people away.

Yea this show was pretty much a local crowd that builds out of the same shop. Heat draws are questionable. They preach no teaming and only yell and scream at out of towers. They have zero clue what they are looking at when teching and spread rumors about how far certain bars went. Apparently my gas tank protector went to my back bumper one year 🙃. This year everyone was crying about our fix it plates weren't flat. All I can do at this point is just laugh 😃

@@tadavids4344 Chinook and Dodson never even had derbies this year. This isn't good for Montana derbies. Utah derbies are always sold out. What is wrong with this state? I'm from Havre, I've been all over the state. I've also worked in the Bakken for years. I used to harvest wheat from Texas to Montana. I've harvested in Fort Benton and Geraldine for years. I remember you from AZZKICKERS...way cool!

I think welded-up cars, from 'pro-stock' to 'modified' classes and even 'outlaw' cars are killing the attendance at derbies, anyway. They're boring; all they do is bounce off each other for 40 minutes until all but one car overheats, or somebody gets lucks and busts a wheel off somebody else. I go to derbies to see how much damage cars will take before they crap out, not to see a bunch of overbuilt tanks that can't even dent each other, and I believe that's what most derby fans want. But if you built to the rules and got screwed over, all I can say is scratch that derby off your list, permanently. But I guess that won't be a concern for you at THIS derby, in future years.

@@bwilliams463 These rules are pretty mild compared to most.
