You are correct. There are lot more interesting and fascinating things lying round the earth to see than spending 250K and risking life under water. Expeditions like that isn't just aimed to take challenge but is a matter of bragging in lieu of money. This is unnecessary.

That's like saying you don't need to go visit the Taj Mahal because you can see it on Google images. Being actually there to see something in real life is a completely different experience. Admit it-if you had something like $100 million, then you'd go down there too. Middle-class people take vacations and pay expensive plane tickets to have experiences in other places. This is the kind of experiences that the uber rich .01% people, pay for.

The Titanic took over 73 years to be found after she sank at a depth of about 12,500 feet, but her rescue ship Carpathia took over 81 years to be found after she sank at a depth of somewhere between only 500 and 600 feet. As for her ignoring ship, the SS Californian, she sank at a depth that is believed to be even deeper than the Titanic and even to this time in 2024, she still hasn't been found.

Any attempt to move it will result in the ship collapsing in on itself. It’ll just break down into a million pieces since it’s been deteriorating for so long. It could’ve been possible back when it first sank but it’s not possible now.

I don't know why the band on the Titanic gets so much kudos for continuing to play as the ship sank. Personally, I think they would be more useful if they'd stopped jamming, rolled up their sleeves and lent a hand with the lifeboats.

Have you ever helped with a lifeboat whilst being untrained?? Not to mention hundreds of years ago where health & safety training was very much different to how it is now?
