Having an experienced person sail with you can be a big help. Finding the right person is a challenge in itself. With our first cat I hired a delivery crew (2 people)and went with them on the 4 week delivery. I learnt a lot and things that would have taken me a long time to work out for my self. But the first crew I sacked half way as they were a real problem. The second crew were great and if you can get the right people then I would highly recommend it.

Hi Guys. You have a fantastic family, the kids are so funny and entertaining. Have someone who ownes a Cat to show you all the different systems you have and how to use them. With that washing machine install I would have put a thick rubber mat under it to stop it wearing through the floor. You don`t need more repairs. Good Luck. Fair Winds and Following Seas. David . I notice you connected your anchor swivel directly to your anchor if I’m not mistaken you are supposed to connect a short piece of chain to the anchor then to the swivel to prevent the swivel from breaking under sideway pressure, Great video guys!!!

Mr . Funny you noticed that. I took off the swivel after a while because it kept jamming the anchor when entering the locker. We now have chain twisting problems but it is still on the to do list to sort out. -Nick

Cats are not that hard to learn to sail, learn everything about your boat yourself and get the parts yourself and fix it yourself. If they know you have money they will rip you every time. Buy the BEST safety gear for your kids.
