@@miriamscarpelli2356 Probably wrong? The color they use are from feeding the fish with food that contains astaxanthin that is a form of karotenoid. That could be from grained dried shrimps, ore with shrimps added in the food. Wild salmon and flamingoes get their color the same way. By eating shrimps. Humans can also get red, but needs to eat a lot more than we do. Astaxanthin can also be made from alges. So, it might be something else that made you sick?

@@donnad4990 I never go out and eat at all. Never go out and spend $4 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks or a gourmet coffee shop. I've been poorer, so I really had to watch my $ for years, so I opted for eating less and better: Eggs are your best source of protein. I buy them for around $4.00/dozen for organic. If you go to whole foods for pasture raised it would cost about $1.88 for those eggs. 1 pound of organic cheese will last a long time, if one uses a cheese slicer compared to a knife. Compared to 1 1b of steak, that will go very quickly. Always have boiled eggs in refrigerator on hand. Only have fresh fruit in season and on sale, again organic. Go thru a fair amount of chicken, but never have more than a 1/3 of a chicken breast for a meal. Either in a salad or a stir fry. So, for a 3 egg omelet that is $1.02 for eggs, add some mushrooms, onions, cheese one has dinner for less than $3,00, I start my day with a green smoothie that costs about $1.50 ( kale, spinach, apple, celery,) I use my nutra bullet, only cost $69.00/costco.

I get my salmon from the Alaska Seafood Company, and it is wild caught. They ship it fresh frozen the next day. It's DELICIOUS. Yes, it's pricey, but WORTH it. I eat their salmon roe daily, for the nutrient profile. I also take astaxanthin every day from Dr. Mercola, and it isn't synthetic. My meat is from a regenerative, sustainable, organic grass-raised local farm (cows treated humanely). Eggs are pasture raised, and on and on. Every food I eat is researched and thought out. I quit eating in restaurants, WHICH WAS SO HARD, but necessary. I consider it paying to be poisoned. Fluoride takes the place of iodine if a person isn't getting enough in their diet same with bromide which is in a lot of baked goods. Too little iodine in peoples diet and toxic fluoride still being used when there is no need to use it is a big issue. People have been talking about farmed fish for years and somehow they get away with it…and you are right when your Dr. Says eat fish..you eat it. I applaud your Dr. For being honesty about Farm raised verses Wild caught. Buying omegas to take ! The only thing I can find that might be acceptable is Krill Oil..the cost is unbelievable. There are so many foods altered for mass production now. even organic is not necessarily organic. It takes years to address the pesticides in the earth.they only test a certain amount of feet down. It goes on and on. The hormones they add to milk in there feed! You can see the difference as to when we were brought up to our kids now, there are so many medical issues with there metabolisms etc. It has become increasingly hard to eat healthy so what are we doing eating to survive . Thank you so much for doing this video to inform the people that don't know about farm raised fish!! I used to eat fish on a regular basis, and when I learned of farm raised fish, it really upset me. Actually, it disgusts me. I ALWAYS look at the source of the fish on the package in the market before I will even consider buying it, but I've kind of lost my enjoyment of eating fish because I don't want to take a chance of eating some nasty fish. I don't eat it at all when I go out because I can't verify the source. I took a trip to Alaska 6 summers ago and spent a lot of that time fishing for salmon on the Kenai Peninsula, and was fortunate to bring back over 100 lbs of fresh caught salmon. There is no comparison to fresh caught fish. I hope to go again and try my luck at halibut fishing.

My Naturopath (also used to be a pharmacist) clued me in on this yrs. ago, how farmed fish creates inflammation in the body - which is sooooo bad for us. He too only recommended Wild Atlantic Salmon. Costco carries it in the frozen packs which he said is fine. He also highly recommended staying away from chicken with antibiotics and hormones in it, as it also creates inflammation in the body. And another tip in case you haven't touched on this (I'm recently new to your channel), is to refrain from using aluminum foil for wrapping and baking your food, as it releases poisonous toxins, and is linked to one of the causes of Alzheimer's and Dementia. Use parchment paper which you can get a Costco or even a dollar store. Not only healthier, your food will taste so much better. So try wrapping your food in parchment paper when baking your food, even a potato! And even line cookie sheets with parchment paper. So get rid of cooking with aluminum pots, pans, etc. altogether as it does the same thing in releasing toxins in your food. This includes drinking and food bowls for your pets. Thanks for your great insight!

I only use stainless bowls for my animals cats and dogs and stainless steel for my pots for myself and I only use glass to store and wrap my food and bake and cooking it I get that at BJ's where you can go from freezer right to the refrigerator from the refrigerator to microwave and I have a microwave that has a heating element in it which I can bake and roast an airfry. I now use an an electric tea kettle for heating up water it is made with stainless steel and it heats the water so fast that I cook my eggs in it my pasta in it I don't even use my stove which is natural gas. I cook my food also besides those two ways with an indoor krups grill and I put water on the krups grill and I also DoubleDown trickle-down quadruple down on My White tee because that will fight the glycation that can come from grilling but I try and grill quick and I grill my broccoli and my fish and my chicken in this krups grill that cooks quickly and adding water and either ghee or olive oil cuts down glycation buy counter that every day with a lot of white tea and Jasmine tea white tea the best.

I do that, wrap over my e.g. roast joint with parchment then foil over the top so parchment protects aluminium leaking into food especially as I have some water in the pan. I would like to find a big pot with a lid for roasts again though, something safe to cook in as non stick has toxins in.

Thank you, so very much, Dr. Rajani! Years ago I used to eat a lot of tilapia until a friend gave me a link to a video that showed the “fish farms” where they were raised! It was so disgusting that I could barely believe my eyes. I never ate it again, but a bit later saw a video about Norwegian salmon farm that showed how clean the conditions were with the fish enclosed in netted areas of the sea where they were constantly in clean ocean water. Fast forward and we come to the truth about these farms and your revelations of the way they are kept and fed. I always look for wild caught fish but have occasionally accepted farm raised when it’s the only choice. After this video, I will NEVER eat any fish that isn’t wild caught. So my husband, who is in the Navy btw, and I were having a talk about this very thing just the other night. He told me that when they are underway they are allowed to dump their "black water" and trash into the ocean once they are at a certain depth. The same with ocean liners, cruise ships and the like. I have always tried to choose wild caught, however now that I know the deep water fish are probably eating human waste and garbage. All the medication and antibiotics thats humans consume along with the non-organic foods waste is being dumped into the ocean for the wild caught fish to eat. So is there really wild anything any more? or are we all to interconnected?

Dr. Rajani Thanks for the news about the farming of salmon ! Also - Astaxanthin I believe that egg yolks contain Astaxanthin, so long as the egg yolk is not overheated. I try to use about 160 degrees F for 10 minutes, because this is used to pasteurize canned food. Yolks cooked under 160F temperature are liquid. What I do is to cook the egg in a microwave oven in a cup of water, which prevents the egg from exploding. The water absorbs most of the microwave energy and the egg cooks very slowly. I found by trial and error the proper time to cook the egg under water to prevent overcooking the yolk and thereby saving the precious astaxanthin you are talking about here.

@MISSIONCAT11
@MISSIONCAT11 Жыл бұрын
Yes poaching the egg gets the same results. However I am not good at poaching. I put the egg in a cup of water and then cook for about 5 1/2 minutes. This time will vary by the oven. The yolk is gooey but not runny. Astaxanthin vitamins are anti-aging and also pricey, so I try to get mine free from the yolk. They say that practically every creature and bacteria on the earth will eat an egg. Nuclear reactors are put under water to keep them stable, Water absorbs some of the neutrons and keeps the reactor from running away. @@dencentbeatz794

I bet it has a flavor enhancer in it. Just get some msg and sprinkle it on your wild caught salmon! 🤣

If we all listen to what he said, we all need to have our own farm and plant everything organic. I know people who are financial stable enough to hire people to work on her farm and no need to worry about it. In modern times, even breathing cause us harm.

@@felicityw30 yeah; we want to do "aquaponics", where you raise fish in the bottom and greens in the top.

Thank you Dr. Rajani for sharing your wonderful knowledge with all of us and your concern ❤️ I really admire you a lot, you also have the consideration of putting the subtitles in Spanish for those of us who don't speak English well. You are wonderful 🙏🏻kisses from Madrid ❤️❤️😘😘

Thank you so much for this information. Striving to eat healthily, pegan, whole foods, organic etc. I still do enjoy salmon more than once a week, even though I´ve heard about how disgusting Norwegian salmon is (based in Europe so that´s the salmon we usually get, as the Irish one is more expensive). I´ve chosen to close my eyes on this topic so far, not a great attitude, however this video has definitely made me see what I didn´t want to know (because, honestly it´s a problem to have to consider even salmon as unhealthy food). Very greatful to have seen this, maybe I´ll just quit eating fish again.
