Whilst out hunting for a Skull of Siren's Song at the start of Season 10, my friend Micromads and I stumbled upon a crew whom I wish we could've dodged.. I mean, it's not every day that you see THREE PIRATES in ONE CREW that all have the Golden Phantom Curse.

The PvP in SoT is just a bad experience in general (at least until you spent way too much time of your life to get good at it). A fight is either over within a couple of minutes due to your opponent just completely stomping you or you spent the better part of an hour trading back and forth while repairing.

I gave up on PvP. When I vote on the hourglass of fate, I just give my opponent a free win. I often put up an emissary flag to give them more money 😁

Works on relatively inexperienced high aggro players. Kegs used as seamines. It requires. The enemy to follow you in straight path. Alternative is kamikaze rowboat. But it also relies on opponents not hitting kegs or spotting the row.

I was digging up a Skull of Destiny to offer to a reaper sloop at the FotD in exchange for help with a commendation when I saw them getting attacked by another sloop. I ran to my ship and even though the island was close my potential allies were already sinking. I decided I would honor the alliance (even though we didn't start one) and fight the attacking sloop, thinking they might still be licking their wounds from the battle. I readied my cannon as my broadside pointed at them and instantly got harpooned and one blundered in the back by a pair of gold ghosts. My ship was somehow still up when I exited the Ferry of the Damned but I already knew it was over.

I remember seeing that golden glow once and one time only and it was when the skull of siren song event was first released and we got to the island checked it out and it seemed clear but this one guy with the gold curse picked us off one by one but luckily I was the one with the skull and I managed to get it to briggsy and once he saw that I turned it in he was respectful about it and he didn’t kill me *In Other words it was scary asf*

Doing a duo sloop with a friend, we got open world attacked by a duo sloop with the gold skeleton and gold ghost curses. We really tried in that fight. It did not go well though.

I fought off a gold curse over a fof. Let's just say arrogance has a name it's it's called gold curse. Guy literally told me to leave and forgot i wasn't alone, and one sloop with one gold curse focused on trying to intimate me vs. 4 other sloops doesn't end well never let you ego get the better of you fellow pirates it WILL end you

Im esentialy just roleplay a merchant trader i run away in my sloop at the first sign of any danger. Pvp in thisngame is just too sweaty and inconsistent with hitboxes for me to find it fun so its more enjoyable to treat everyone like a full gild crew to me lol.

I met some of these players... I said to them very clearly I didn't want to fight them but they insisted on fighting me... Needless to say it was a one sided fight as I was pretty much trying to dive. I managed to anchor them and hold them off long enough my ship could get some distance and managed to escape.

I bullied a tripple gold cursed brig to take their curse off cause they were bots and had exploited it. They used the farming meathod to get gold curse in 8 days and we sunk them as a sloop. Was funny.

I logged on today and was getting sups at a sea fort when a reaper 5 galleon with all 4 of them having this curse pulled up on me being a solo. Safe to say I totally 1v4d and sunk them 😭

Does this game have any resemblance of matchmaking while someone joins the server? I play this game like a week or two and constantly stumble upon dudes who look like this who do some space marines shit on you in 10 seconds. Basically any ship on the horizon is 50% try to escape from us and other 50% are some dudes who gave up on life and airborn onto your ship from the other part of Skyrim Wtf

Due this our motto litterly is curse doesnt mean skill We all got the normal pvp curse (and most have both curses) but still If you wanna beat these ppl, use sword :), try hard pvpers hate sword due its oversized range with sword lunge and the stun lock

I fought a gold curse, he was on a gally if pretty experianced players, a cocky son of a bitch who had given the gally an ego trip from "how good he was" until my ghost curse mate killed him multiple times and fixed the shipwhile I pounded holes into the gally. Gold curse was garbage, I know not all of them are, but its a good most of them. We did have a brigantine helping sink the galleon. However, my mate soloed him multiple times, same as me. He was trash. All they did was get the drop on us.
