Everyone seems to overlook the moment justt before his decapitation Gyutaro said he had to release his slashes. It wasn't a self destruct mode, his body carried out his final command after he was decapitated.

This is by far my favorite episode of any anime I have seen and one I go back and watch frequently. The fight between Tengen and Tanjiro vs Gyutaro was the best I have seen, the animation and voice acting was top notch! Zenitsu with his thunder breathing.’god like speed’ was so lit against Daki and loved that Inosuke showed up. The quiet after the explosion at the end was haunting! Great reaction!

Here’s an explanation of Uzui's musical score: Uzui has analyzed combat maneuvers to the point where he can read them like music sheets. He converts the rhythm of the enemies attack into sound so that every fight becomes a song. He hears repeated phrases and can attack between beats and during the rest, dancing with his opponent

THis episode was by far the biggest emotional roller coaster I've experienced in my entire life. It's amazing, but damn. The first time I watched it the day it came out, I was left a crying, emotional mess. I seriously needed a nap afterwards I was so drained. It's probably my favorite episode of the series so far, though, the animation, music, and voice acting are all out of this world.

Personally it's near impossible to rate which season or manga arc would be the best. I mean, remember season one? The dark, horrible and sad first episode. Then the "world building" about demons and their slayers, training part and after the final selection the "intro" was done. For me, one of the strongest in anime, probaly only "Psycho-Pass" is close to that. Now, from most other stories, you would think he has to fight the typical "every week a monster" thing, but no... right after his first hard fight he encounters Muzan himself. That shuffles the entire dynamic of the story. That's why we got Lady Tamajo, the Demon Doctor so early on with such a cool fight. I find something in any arc of Demon Slayer what I would consider as "master craft". It's great to see other ppl enjoying that thanks to ufotable. Can't wait to see what people say after the final episode of the entire series when it is aired.

8:36 you have to understand, while tengen, tanjiro and gyutaro were having mothers meeting and making musical rhythm. my man zenitsu was Swirling around this Daki chick over and over at a speed of thunder. keeping her immobilize helped tengen and tanjiro able to focus on killing gyutaro. else she has always sent some secondary attack towards tengen and tanjiro while they were fighting gyutaro in earlier episodes.

Actually, Gyutaro didn't self destruct himself. If you remember, before getting his head cut off, he says "I have to unlease my rotating blood attack", he was in the process to do it but tanjiro cut off his head just a few seconds before it. His head was cut off but the attack unleased itself on it's own and hence it felt like self-destruct but it wasn't that. Plus I loved how Cara transitioned from f me to f u in reaction 😂😂.

You know what I love about this manga/anime? The small details. I thought it's great how Tengen entered the fight again. His musical score technique needed the last specific notes from Gyutaro and right in the moment befor Gyutaro would have stabbed Tanjiro's eye you heared it... pure hate (nice voice actor btw), now the "filthy score of yours" was complete and Tengen could read his enemie like a sheet of paper. Another thing is how Tanjiro is watching and commenting Tengen's movements, while Uzui was "holding up" against Gyutaro. As a viewer you think "yeah Tanjiro, it's pretty cool that Uzui can hold the upper moon on his own", but the scene is not only about Tengen. It tells us something new about Tanjiro too. You see, when Rengoku fought Akaza our beloved Tanjiro couldn't even see their movements. So he improved on that by a lot. Tengen and Gyutaro are insanely fast and he is not only able to see what they are doing, he was able to place important attacks too.

Tanjiro did improve a lot but currently he still cannot keep up with akaza since akaza is way stronger than gyutaro so just bcz he was able to see their movements doesn't mean he can do that with akaza too in his current form
