They were not able to help rengoku because they didn't have the capability to do that, at that point of time. Now, tanjiro was able to help Tengen is the result of his 4 months training (post mugen train events). Remember that the trio felt guilty for rengoku's death because they weren't able to contribute to the fight between rengoku and akaza due to the insane pace. The fact that now, they are able to keep up shows how much the trio have grown as demon slayers.

Have to give major credit to tengen and inosuke. We saw from tanjiro's perspective how much the poison was affecting him almost immediately after being poisoned while inosokue had been poisoned for a while longer and still came back to finish off daki and tengen was poisoned at the very start of the battle.

Some real life examples for the crazy abilities they talked about. Frogs can, at will, slow their circulatory system to the point of being "indistinguishable from death" as a form of hibernation. I can't remember which animal it is, but there is an animal that can, using its flexibility and muscles to shift organs around changing their positions. And finally growing up in the mountains can bring one to practice Mithradatism which is the practice of slowly poisoning yourself to gain immunity. Also, animals that evolved to eat and be around dearly poisons and diseases often are immune to many forms of both. Bat's for example are as close to disease and poison immune that animals can get because of their diet and evolution.

I really hope you guys get someone who's read the manga to screen through the comments before reading them (even Patreon comments; there are people who'd love to give up 5 dollars to spoil shows for people). For a group of people that love reading, they all sure seem to be very unintelligent. I don't know why they think it's appropriate to even explain things like that, as if they're like helping people? Lmao. It's very clearly a spoiler. Like Morgan is 100% right, nothing in the show has ever clarified whether or not the person is Tanjirou's father. They look identical, sound identical... so it's a pretty safe assumption for many to assume it's Tanjiro's father. I hope that's just the first, and even more so, last spoiler you guys get. I'd consider it pretty minor and it shouldn't affect your enjoyment. Keep anything demon slayer related out of your youtube/tiktok searches too... There's plenty of YT channels that just put spoilers in their thumbnails and titles where there's really nothing you can do about it if it comes up, same with tiktoks - people just post a tiktok of manga panels without any spoiler warning and you have no chance to look away before you understand what you're looking at. Definitely be very careful about spoilers, was skimming comments and saw something, maybe a few somethings. Hate that it's even a problem. Yes, folks, I read the manga too, don't have to answer lingering questions for them. Let reactors and other fans who haven't read the manga enjoy the story as it unfolds. And that goes for any show, movie, whatever. What can be said, up to now we wouldn't know much about the mysterious figure from what's in the show, nor further context if any is to be had. Someone thinks X character is whomever? Let them! It's also not like some characters have had a bunch of screen time either. And trying to distinguish any voice actor for any character with brief screen time is tricky. Would not recommend looking into that, as could lead to unintentional spoilers there. There are some clues in the show, but nothing definitive beyond theorizing. Not going to point out what, because if a reactor/fan hasn't noticed something, there's always second viewings or more (on their own, if so inclined) after the entire series wraps to notice things maybe not understood initially. Or have sudden realizations while watching. Which is good storytelling.

The first time Tanjiro's scar changed was due to being hit by the morphed demon during the entrance exam. It wasn't due to any power. It was just an injury over another injury. In this fight the scar also did not change. It was covered by a mark. He still has the same scar, there is just a new mysterious mark over it right now.

While Tanjiro was cutting his head off, Gyutaro did say he needed to use his "Rotating Circular Slashes" move, so I think his body was already beginning that move when his head was removed, then it went off just a couple seconds later (though it seemed like a couple minutes later because of the way time stood still for a while at that moment). I love that it took a full season to find and defeat an upper rank demon. Teaming up with a different hashira to find and kill a different upper rank demon each season would be a cool way to do the series.

This episode was such a roller coaster for me personally. It was the best animation I've seen in a modern anime maybe ever. That said, a lot of anime ass-pulls with stopping your heart... moving your organs... etc. They've introduced some body manipulation stuff prior to this but this was another level. My general rule is.. if the character has to jump in and explain what they did (Inosuke) then that means there wasn't enough of a baseline. It just took away from the moment for me.. I actually laughed out loud. Still a really fun, beautiful show.

The characters explaining the plotlines is weird because demon Slayer doesn't have a narrator for the story Many of the important plot points were missed in this season due to the absence of a narrator. Tengen's swords , Tengen's Resistance to poison , inosuke 's flexibility , Tanjiro's try hard mode with daki were all explained well in the manga

Gyutaros final attack is like a water faucet. You turn on the tap, and then smack the faucet off with a mallet. Water go BRRRRR. Tanjiro got to Daki's neck, but couldn't cut through because it was too soft. Then nearly a second time, but he collapsed from going past his limits for too long. Nezuko destroyed her head, but since it wasn't with a Sun Blade, Daki would have regenerated anyway even without Gyutaro. Tengen cut it twice, before and after Gyutaro appeared. And finally, Inosuke last episode. All in all, she got beaten up more episodes than not ^^'

The guy in the flashbacks was more than 100 years in the past You can deduce this by the fact that the Upper moons existed for more than 100 years. If the guy Muzan is scared of is still alive you know what he will do to these upper demons? Also Muzan can survive forever just like all the demons as long as they aren't killed. it's pretty much well established that Demons don't age when they get turned.

The thing about the shadow figure not being his dad is not a spoiler. just takes a little digging. They have different hair, different kimono's, different scar in their head, different voice actors, and the fact that Shinjuro explained that sun breathing was the first breathing technique, then it showed the same figure which insinuates he's already somebody from way in the past

For clarification: Tanjiro's Hinokami Kagura is known as "Sun Breathing", the original breathing technique. Not too far fetched to say its fire breathing given the translation Dance of the Fire God. I believe with the distinction from Flame & Fire, it's much simpler and proper to call it Sun Breathing, as opposed to Fire Breathing. Love your reactions!
