Well done, Mark!! We really enjoy the progression, your observations, and reasoning behind "why" you're doing what you're doing. Aside from the massive amount of brambles and roots, you're digging out the soil looks great. Glad you stuck with it, looks really good. Btw this is as close to self-promotion as I hope I ever get. You might be interested in the 1st 5 minutes of our video tomorrow. It might be something you'd consider in your situation. Cheers Mark Jason and Colleen 🪚⛏️💪🌱

Hey guys, thanks for your encouragement and observations! It’s not been easy getting this far, although we’ll worth the effort just to clear all the junk left in the soil by others in the past. I’ll keep a lookout for the video. Take care

I feel your pain. I'm also in the process of rubbish and root digging on a new allotment. Days and days for each bed but it's got to be done. Keep up the good work, you're making fab progress. How lucky to have a resident woodpecker.

I made it finally watching up to here, I started watching the pond build videos first. Then started watching the first video of your first allotment plot. I find it quite relaxing to watch a few videos each day, depending on video length and spare time available. Love your bird friends. I want them to haha🤭😜 Today I started drawing my back garden design out on paper in scale 1 to 20. 1 cm on paper is equel to 20 cm in reallife. That way I have a better vision on where the hawthorn tree, butterfly bushes and pond are going to be. I made the buddleja out of two round pieces of paper and will that do with some other key feature plants to. That way I can move them around on the paper, while the tree etc has a fixed position. Can't wait to get started for real😄✌️

Thank you for taking the time to watch my channel Titia; it really does mean a lot to me when others enjoy what I have been doing. I think the way you are designing your garden is great! I used quite a few sheets of squared paper planning out my plot but I didn’t use shapes, just a pencil. At least I have a record of how my plot design changed over time. The use of cut out shapes that you can move around is a fantastic idea! Good luck and don’t forget to take photos or videos of your project from start to finish! Take care

@@MarkyBigSmoke You're welcome. Glad to read that you appreciate it. I made a short video the other day about the newly dug border and the pond find. I don't know if you have visited my channel by now? I'm trying to edit some videos once in a while, it is going slow though. I have to be behind my laptop quite a while to finish a video. And I'm not always up for it🫢 I used some rough sketches over time to. But wanted to finalize the design with the actual size of my garden in scale, including the actual width of the plants.

I had subscribed to your channel Titia but hadn’t seen the latest but will go over and take a look now. I used to edit all of my videos on my laptop up until last year when I decided to try to edit all videos on my mobile phone. Now I can shoot, edit and upload straight from my phone. All the best
