This video is for any of you that hold such high standards for yourself that no matter what you do, it's not enough. I hope this helps bring you some insight and perspective, because seeing other people voice the horrible conversations we have in our own heads can help show us how insane they are. I love you all, thank you for creating a safe space for me to be open about my biggest insecurities.

I find as i get older (I turned 40 in March), my perspective on what ive achieved & how my life is going & who ive impacted or what my foot print is & if ive done enough takes on new meaning. Ya I still struggle from time to time & have the thoughts you just described but I dont know, they are less often, and less devastating now. at your age I felt so sad at the prospect of not being able to reach my full potential, & kind of felt empty because the world was so big & i was just a speck of dust in the grand scheme of things.. Im not saying age is a factor in how you feel now, I just found that, for me, when i hit 35 things just sort of shifted. now I think that as long as my heart has the best intentions in everything I do, then it just has to be enough & im ok with that. I can honestly say when I look at someone like you who inspires me & has done by far more then I have in less time, I dont compare, I rejoice that there is someone else doing something too. a little goes a long way, and if everyone is doing a little, that little becomes a lot. doing enough is not achieved by one person alone & personal happiness is a choice. I have no regrets. your a beautiful, wonderful, smart woman & i think you will also one day have this feeling. my favorite quote by a young man who died of cancer named Chris Aiff. "The decision to be positive is not one that disregards or belittles the sadness that exists. It is rather a conscious choice to focus on the good and to cultivate happiness-genuine happiness. Happiness is not a limited resource. And when we devote our time to trivial matters, and choose to stress over things that ultimately are insignificant. From that point, we perpetuate our own sadness, and we lose sight of the things that really make us happy and rationalize our way out of doing amazing things." ps. love u, thank you for sharing & being vulnerable.

I feel that today’s society is putting too much pressure on us - to be successful, to be fit, to be thin and sexy....What’s happening is that we’re constantly striving to be more and to achieve more, not appreciating what we have NOW...not living NOW. It’s good to create goals for ourselves, that’s what I do, but we must choose to be happy NOW, with everything we have NOW. Now is the moment we can be sure of. Thanks for sharing Raya.

I really relate to this. I had a conversation with my mum about how I am always trying to be more, do more, have a more positive impact on the planet and trying to heal all the crud in my life. But I forget how far I have come. How I’ve learnt to love my body vessel that I was once so shy about. How I’ve learnt to express myself in ways I never knew before. It’s important to bring our focus back to what we are rather than what we are not, and the truth Raya, is that you just being here on this planet IS enough. You simply being is rippling our through the planet and the cosmos in the most beautiful way. It’s painful on Earth, and we are so connected to her and feeling what she is feeling as well. Stay strong beautiful warrior of love. X

this is so so important!!! happiness, joy, satisfaction, whatever we want to call it does not come from doing or achieving. it comes from just being. learning to access joy in every moment; allowing yourself to feel it. so many of us postpone that feeling for the illusion of "when." Recently I had the most powerful meditation that drove me to tears in regards to this. I am enough and will always be enough. Last couple days have been hard for me. Just yesterday I was crying hopeless that living a life when people would tell me I’m not enough, I’m not as smart, I am not as thin, I am not enough to become this or that. This is draining and keeps our ego full to make us believe of such. Thank you beautiful Raya for this. So honest, so raw. You are doing what you are capable of and I see you’re always improving yourself continuously and that is enough to live a happy, kind life. Improving yourself to go to bed happy but free of limitations and judgements, and full of compassion and kindness towards yourself. Thank you for this.

Thank you for being so vulnerable Raya. I used to think this way too, and still do if I’m not careful, but honestly I’ve learned that what we can do won’t ever be enough for us. It’s because we’re not made for doing, we are made for being. We bear the image of an almighty God that our souls long to know simply by our being human. And until we are reunited with Him, our souls will be endlessly longing for that sort of love and goodness. You are so loved, not for what you do, but because of what you are. If you want to know what will be enough, ask the one who made you. Much love always💛

I've spent too much of my life feeling this way. One day, I decided to reflect back on the years and I could not remember anything, even the good times with loved ones- until they reminded me of those moments. That's what you get when you live in fear of the past/future. Life goes by quick and you're left feeling empty. Anyway, I was guided towards 2 books; "The Universe Has Your Back" & "Super Attractor" both by Gabrielle Bernstein. They offered perspectives that COMPLETELY changed my life. Love you, Raya 🌻🌼

Exactly what you explained in your video, is what I’m feeling today... I worked out, I had a healthy breakfast, I worked for a bit, I played with my dog... yet I feel so empty. Perhaps it’s quarantine but maybe not. This is a feeling I have experienced countless times. I’ll blame my relationship for not intellectually stimulating me. Or my living situation... I’m at a point where I simply feel helpless and empty. Thank you for sharing. It’s comforting to know that someone who may seem like they have it all together, is still human like me and feels the same emotions. It’s humbling that I am not the only one. I trust that We will rise and we will overcome this feeling. Sending you so many hugs and comfort especially during this time. Xo

"if you can't appreciate the little things now, you won't appreciate the big things later". I think Western society is a victim of its own success. We are always pushing to do more, be more, buy more. Achieve, excel, out pace. Grow, evolve, transform. Skies the limit. It almost feels wrong it you don't have big lofty goals to strive for. And then I read a blog post called "what if all I want is a mediocre life" on the blog A Life in Progress and it really opened my eyes. I still feel guilty for not striving for more. But every now and again I find myself happy with what I have.

I felt this so much Raya. 💖💖💖 I have a tendency to hold myself back from doing my best. I tell myself that it's because I don't want other people to always expect that level of performance from me... But deep down I think I'm afraid of my own greatness and don't want to let myself down (another form of never enough). Most of the time it doesn't even feel like a choice because I've been doing it for so long.

Hey ! It's so brave of you to show that vulnerability ! I just want to send you some good vibes !! I think that something we are all guilty of, specifically in our modern society, is to project ourselves a bit too much. And I think it can be really healthy but the line is fine between wanting to be a better version of yourself by just growing and evolving versus putting pressure on ourselves to be the supposedly perfect version of ourselves. And I beleive that when we are stuck at the ladder, it is very important to bring ourselves back to the present moment. You know what I mean ? Like I have goals for my body that comes along being healthier but I need to accept the way my body looks right now, not constantly thinking that it will be worthier (my worth is anyway not supposed to be valued by the way I look !!) when I'm gonna be healthier. I don't know if that helps in any way but I wanted to share my thoughts on the matter ! I wish you all the best, take care of yourself and of your mental health !

I feel the exact same way every night before I go to bed. How I never do good enough and how much I could have done better. How I could be better. No matter how hard I work/ do things, its never enough or right. I pressure myself to go above and beyond people's expectations but end up getting used. Every night I lay and wish I wasn't so scared to face bigger dreams head on. How much it hurts that I can't believe a person when they compliment my work ethic because under the surface, I'm screaming for air and I cannot allow myself to believe what I'm doing is meaningful to anyone. Your life is absolute goals and I do hope one day you feel good enough!

I don't know if this resonates with you, but for me I could only find peace and contentment when I realized that it's not about doing, but about being. Being loved by God, knowing that there is so much more than my limited human life. Resting in the purest form of love, knowing that I am exactly where I need to be. Trusting. It's not about me but about something much greater that I can't even understand completely. And that is ok. This is where I found rest. This is where I find my happiness that is not tied to circumstances. I wish you from the bottom of my heart so much love and peace. And know you are enough. It's not about what you do, but about who you are. You are loved.

As someone who has not even come close to all the amazing accomplishments you have, I can guarantee that you are not alone in feeling these feelings. It is comforting to see someone who influences people everyday and who looks like they “have it all together” to share this vulnerable moment that you’ve been feeling. We are all the same and we are all only human. We should all be a little easier on ourselves and I too should definitely take my own advice when saying this. Thank you for making and posting this wholesome and very real video. I also want to say that I think you’re doing great Raya.💕

You ARE enough and worthy just by being alive and breathing! I hope you've been going to sleep content these days. 💙 I have the same inner voice critic and it almost brought me to extremely negative thoughts about myself and deep depression... Being kind to ourselves the same way we would be to our best friend is the first step. It always comes back to self-kindness and self-acceptance. It's crucial for being able to live this beautiful life fully. Uh, I SOOOO needed to hear this....Thank you Raya. 🙏 💗💗💗

Raya you are an amazing person. There could be a long standing reason why you feel how you feel, it could be something from your childhood that instilled the need to be more and do more or from an experience or just the world we live in. I say this with love and respect for you and because i work in mental health...it might help to speak to someone like a councillor who can support you. The majority of people on this planet could do with talking to someone openly about any struggle they are dealing with. It takes work and its not going to make you think or feel differently instantly but its a start. I say this as someone who also needs to get support with things that i havent dealt with yet. I've followed you for a few years now and i respect you so much for being vulnerable and brave. Sending you lots of virtual hugs ❤

As a child I was never good enough per parents and teachers and I grew up believing this ...no matter what I did ...but it was my own self that was in my way. I’m 50 now and just realizing that I had compared myself to others instead of looking within often just repeating in my mind what others judged. Get past what everyone else thinks is “good enough” and you’re gold. However if I fell asleep happy every night That would be enough. I’m a single mom with chronic illness and have no one but my kids. I have to be happy with me! Much love to all! 💞🕊

Thank you for sharing this Raya! So relatable and enlightening. What helps me personally to be content is through my Christian faith of seeing who I am and who God is and see living my life everyday as living loved. 1 Timothy 6:6-12 But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. Thank you for your content Raya!

Just sending you love ♥ You are doing great! Maybe it's an idea to tell yourself you're doing great before going to bed and as soon as you wake up, even when you don't believe it yourself. It should work kind of like a mantra. Maybe it doesn't work for you but at least try, you deserve that love ❤️

Trust me you are awesome! Perhaps my story could help... Grew up with narcissist parents. I’ve been married twice to abusive spouses and my second husband almost killed me and took his life then our then 8 yr old son was hit by a car a month later sustaining severe brain injury being in hospital and rehab 3 months, recovery 2 years then my older son almost lost his eye recovery of 4 months in darkness. My “best friend” was a con artist and put me through more trauma right after that was so over top I can’t trust. I now have chronic illness from all the stress and grateful my sons are healthy now but live with me and due to illness I can’t take care of them as I would like. My roof has a leak and neither of my toilets flush nor does my kitchen sink work... I promise if I can make it through and still believe in me anyone can. I have no friends and haven’t dated in 7 years. Sometimes perspective helps. I’m grateful for a roof even leaky and my kids that I can enjoy watching them become self aware in a way I was never taught so they know they are good enough just how they are. You can too and you are great! Much love 😊💞🕊
