Such a simple concept that hits like a truck. Couple falls in love. Girl gets pregnant. They lose the baby. They both spiral into depression. She overdoses and dies. He tries to end it all but survives. He's left to pick up the pieces himself. Powerful and painful.

I have watched the music video dozens of times and every time I am fine until the moment they lose their baby. Mostly because I know that pain all too well, my wife and I have been through it twice and for whatever reason seeing that and then him losing his wife just feels like knives in my heart all over again. Because it is real, losing your child before they've had a chance to even live is indescribable, being such a strong Christian before we lost our daughters and then suddenly not knowing what you believe anymore and everything you thought you knew being turned upside down is heavy, you feel lost, angry, empty etc. With nowhere to place those emotions. I'm not one for praying much these days but I never want anyone to know that pain of losing their child. It's absolutely devastating and I wish I never knew that pain..

I don't know why i cry to this mv so hard as a gay man lol. But even if i can't relate, i find it really tragic. The song is well done as well.

Yeah. We do have empathy and emotional intelligence to feel and understand loss even if it’s in a dynamic that isn’t for us. It is really done indeed ❤️
