If you want to get deeper into this: ACC has an old (and slightly weird) way in how it treats throttle inputs. Nils Heusinkveld talked about this extensively in a video, but basically ACC (and most other sims from that time or older) apply very little power at lower throttle pedal inputs. The car barely accelerates at 50% throttle. You have to apply at least around 70-80% to generate meaningful torque. Below that value, all you do is close the limited-slip differential, which is reducing the rotation of the car. By applying 70-80% throttle right away, the drivers help the car rotate instead of eliminating rotation. But to use the technique correctly, you have to press the throttle to at least those values. If your car spins out on corner exit, chances are that your steering wheel is still turned too much when you apply the throttle. To correct this, you either have to apply throttle a bit later or rotate the car more quickly by trail braking. Using lower throttle input (

I don't think the 70% rule is correct. It's not that he's going ot 70%. Notice when he initially puts the throttle on. He immediately goes to 100%, and then backs it down. He's doing 100% to test how much grip he really has, and he backs the throttle down to whatever the needed throttle level is and then smoothly brings it back up to 100% as the corner opens up. He's not aiming for 70% throttle, he's literally just aiming for whatever the necessary throttle input is at that moment. Stay loose with this stuff. 👍

@@josephcote7702 hello, the BMW tends to be understeery so he jumps to 100% throttle to loosen the rear and make the car turn. Once the car has slightly started to turn and is about to rotate too much he reduces the throttle input and exits with stability on the rear axle. The McLaren is a more balanced car so you can notice that effect more clear there. Cheers✌️

@@SimKris right, so he's not aiming for 70%, he's just aiming for whatever the necessary amount of throttle is that's needed.
