This was my first experience with aiming systems and it really opened my eyes to how important it is to feel confident in exactly where you are aiming.

You can hit this shot slow or fast to get shape on one side of the table or the other as well.

I really like this little bit of wisdom, thanks a million. Have you ever heard of 'spot shot kenny?' Guess how many he made in a row at age 50-

Center to edge system is the best system for these types of cuts. I am adjusting my gameplay to incorporate this and it helped me make so many 1/2 3/4 ball cuts so easily. If you need help with thinner cuts, you can also try aiming with the edge of your cue tip to the edge of the object ball. IMO, these type of aiming systems are far more easier to adapt to and much more efficient compared to ghostball aiming for any cuts over 1/2 ball.

edit to last sentence: any cuts LESS than a 1/2ball

can you do a video on how to consistently make back cuts? Not a back cut with the object ball is on the rail and you hit the cue ball with tons of english. A shot in which the cue ball is closer to the rail and the object ball is closer towards the center of the table.

That's only can be use while the angle is a half ball.. (ghost ball method). So how if the angle is 1/4 or 3/4? You can not use this anymore.
@barefootrocker
@barefootrocker 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's the whole point. He explained where exactly to place the cue ball, such that what you set up is a half ball hit. A spot shot is when the object ball is placed on the spot and you have ball in hand (you can place the cue ball wherever you'd like) within the kitchen. You are in control of what the angle is so the suggestion is yes, always set it up as a half-ball hit.

A spot shot is when the object ball is placed by hand, exactly on the spot. It occurs in unique situations in a number of different billiard games. That is the purpose of the video.

You can make the shot somewhat easily, even on a 9 foot table with tighter pockets, but when you are shooting a money ball in a game of ring nine, it makes it a lot easier to only have to worry about the deliver of you cue and not your aim.
