DYSON SPHERE PROGRAM
Build the most efficient intergalactic factory in space simulation strategy
game Dyson Sphere Program! Harness the power of stars, collect resources, plan and design production lines and develop your interstellar factory from a small space workshop to a galaxy-wide industrial empire
Combining Factorio and Satisfactory on a Galactic scale!
ABOUT THE GAME
Dyson Sphere Program is a sci-fi simulation game with space, adventure,
exploration and factory automation elements where you have to build your
own galactic industrial empire from scratch
In the distant future, the power of science and technology has ushered a new age to the human race. Space and time have become irrelevant thanks
to virtual reality. A new kind of supercomputer has been developed - a machine which superior artificial intelligence and computing capability will
push humanity even further. There is only one problem: there isn’t enough
energy in the whole planet to feed this machine.
You are a space engineer in charge of a project launched by the space alliance COSMO, tasked with a massive undertaking: constructing a Dyson
Sphere, a megastructure that would orbit around a star, harnessing all its
power and energy. Only a few decades ago it was considered a hypothetical, impossible invention - but now it’s in your hands… if you can manage to develop this space workshop in some galactic backwater into a galaxy-wide industrial production empire!
ABOUT EARLY ACCESS
While the core mechanics of Dyson Sphere Program are ready, the game still can grow and evolve a lot - and Early Access is just the perfect place for it to reach its true potential. We believe that by letting players experience the main content of Dyson Sphere Program and actively interacting with them to collect their feedback will allow us to improve the game and make it much better than it would be without this Early Access stage. Our plans are for this EA stage to be about 1 year long. But that is not written in stone
KEY FEATURES
◇ Build a galactic industrial empire from scratch: start with a small workshop and improve it until it spans the whole galaxy
◇ Develop your very own Dyson Sphere, a megastructure that orbits
around a star harnessing all its power and energy, from the first screw
to its completion
◇ Explore a vast universe procedurally generated with all kinds of celestial bodies: neutron stars, white dwarfs, red giants…
◇ Gather resources in planets of all types: ocean, lava, desert, frozen,
gaseous planets…
◇ Research new technologies to improve your factories… and discover
the secrets of the universe
◇ Build mechas to fly, sail or jump through outer space and alien planets
◇ Transport materials across the galaxy to your facilities: thousands of
transport ships will flow endlessly to your factories and back!
◇ Design the most efficient automated factory and production line
◇ Customize your factory and Dyson Sphere to make it unique
◇ Design a balanced power network, producing energy in all kinds of
power plants like wind turbines, artificial stars… through conveyor
belts, and you’ve got technology to help your buildings fit the grid automatically during the construction process. You’ve got the best tools
COSMO can afford to build a massive-scale automated production line

You should also proliferator your proliferators. On the Mk3 proliferators, by sending them through a proliferator, you increase their uses from 60 to 75.

Hi Nilaus. Regarding belting out warpers: If you belt out of ILS slot #6 instead of a regular slot, warpers will not be stacked regardless of stacking settings. That way you save a few warpers that would otherwise sit useless on the belt.

I saw when stamping down 2nd set of processors there are 176 assemblers, that's one more set of the base blueprint than needed (16x10 for 160)

Titanium Alloy also goes into Structure components, which you need for the small rockets. So yes, you DO need a lot of it.

Nilaus, regarding not using proliferators on your microprocessor build, have you considered using them with the speed function as opposed to the extra output?
@helleye311
@helleye311 2 жыл бұрын
Speed function is kinda useless most of the time, the only thing it saves you is some extra space for planting down more machines. If proliferation was free it would be viable but otherwise, you're spending resources to not get anything in return (since the cost of the few extra assemblers you'd otherwise need quickly becomes a fraction of the consumption). I mean that's my opinion at least, but I feel like it's a logical conclusion to "pay resources just to save space".

Re the processor module, you can lay it out with blueprint mode, just drag to the right and press tab a few times and it will spread and then come closer until it overlaps perfectly….

Challenge accepted, I can make a processor build that takes up the same space in width as that build and has them sprayed with proliferator. 4x lines of components that do 30/sec merge sideloading 2 lines into other 2 lines and stacker, merge 2 stacked lines sideloading, stacker. Feed 4 lines stacked 4x into sprayers of each into 4 builds of Processor to produce 4 30/sec lines then stack the same way. Always have stackers and sprayers happen in gaps between building groups and it will not take up any more width than your build.

For inputs/outputs when you have requesters of any kind: What goes from a requester (in this game, a logistic station demand item) into the build is an input. What goes out of the build and into the provider (in this game, a logistic station supply item) is an output. This rule should be able to apply to any build whatsoever in this game, in Factorio and I guess even other factory games? Should be consistent with belt-fed factories where inputs and outputs are simpler.

So why not make a 4/5 belt of green circuits, a belt of silicon components, double both, then stamp down a processor build? That would make proliferation exceptionally easy, both for the ingredients and the end product. You won't even need to worry about sorters or belts because all three designs are identical (just need a different number of assemblers).

I think proliferators are a bad design in game design. Dyson Sphere Program already had a problem with samey designs and proliferators reduce the (viable) design space even further as direct insertion becomes the less efficient in comparision.
@ThereWasATime
@ThereWasATime 2 жыл бұрын
I don't agree. I can think of many ways to do proliferation, not even need it in each ILS. You could also make a belt around the equator and prolif everything on that planet from that line. Proliferation makes you think out of the box. I like it a lot.
@vib80
@vib80 2 жыл бұрын
The space here is design space not tower space. It's cut down because there's only one way to do proliferation: make a stretch of belt with a painter on and run the goods through. Those of us already outside the box already with fancy direct insertion blueprints are thus forced back into the box we were trying to leave or to simply ignore proliferation altogether. Which is why I find this lastest update offered me pretty much nothing.
@PupOrionSirius26
@PupOrionSirius26 2 жыл бұрын
Stackers and sprayers take little space and can more than 4x your production per build. Worth it in a small loss of design space on planets that have loads of unused space anyway, and 64 systems of planets to play in. What are you complaining about, you have plenty of space to work with and are loosing so little of it? Towers force you to waste space anyway, put them under the tower!

@jasper4574
@jasper4574 2 жыл бұрын
he is playing on 0.5x resource modifier, and the proliferator costs resources. in some manufacturing cases, it makes more sense to skip the proliferation such that using it is simply not worth it (like the production of raw iron/copper)
@tristen9736
@tristen9736 2 жыл бұрын
If it's something raw like iron plates or anything like that, it's so inconsequential the efficiency he's losing that it's not worth it to proliferate
@pablovaldenegro8653
@pablovaldenegro8653 2 жыл бұрын
@@jasper4574 I think i disagree, once you have the power to afford it with a Dyson Shere, is totally worth it, im also doing a 0.5x resources run and in the late game is the best option, I proliferate all the steps of production, even the smelting.
@jasper4574
@jasper4574 2 жыл бұрын
@@pablovaldenegro8653 true, i think it is also the cost of raw materials for the proliferator that is prohibitive. i think nilaus also voiced concerns with the ratios of production? but you are right about the power.
@vrnvorona
@vrnvorona 2 жыл бұрын
@@jasper4574 cost is miniscule. 6 coal, 2 fireice, 1 titanium ore for 75 sprays. Wow. Also ratios doesn't matter, if you don't have enough you run out, if you have too much you just idle. Globally ratios doesn't matter, output does.
