Yes there are Chinese in Mexico. They tend to stay separate, but still practice the worship of the dragon. Since the Chinese were skilled laborers in the railroad system, Mexicans employed them to build railroads in their country. That's one way, the Chinese had a way out as far as employment and immigration is concerned.

Thank you bruh! I’m coming out there in June from SC and I was wondering what the response was to black folk in that area. I found a few blogs, most people said that the response was positive and receptive with a little staring because there are so few of us. Your videos have put my mind at ease. I’m going to show up with my broken Spanish and a positive attitude and have myself a ball!

That is why Mexican's identify as Mexican. Since independence day, the identity of being Mexican, of being 'mixture' .... because you are Mexican and your duty is to Mexico...as Vicente Guerrero - who was mixed, said "...my country first." Over his father. Mexico is proud of it's past...saying you are Mexican is understanding your background and being proud of it. You might have indigenous, jewish, black, spanish, french, chinese, but at the end, when they ask....what race are you....you say Mexican... because you are mixed and proud of it. When Mexico won it's independence it abolished slavery (Vicente Guerrero) and the caste system. The Mexican identity was pushed. Our proud History, our mixture tells our story as a people. A Mexican has many faces, it can be a blonde, blue eyes, dark skin, brown skin, or Asian looking....but Mexican... because it is a mixture of races. Something interesting and something to be proud of.

I agree almost everything , except that we do not see ourselves as a race. There are plenty of originary people (which survived the Spaniards who tried to wipe them off completely) . And I agree that there is some misinformation regarding the African-mexican root Which have remained relatively invisible compared to other ethnic groups. But they belong here and they know it. They have a nation and a place. We certainly owe them more recognition, but in the latest 40 years the have been special efforts to enhance their importance (from the academy and considerable govt efforts from the perspective of human rights and cultural law). Have that been enough? I don't think so, but many ppl had given the first steps.

redhulk111 you are wrong, little idiot. Inform yourself well before opening your mouth. There are places in our coast that have a tremendous African roots. By Constitutional law, slavery is forbidden in Mexico since 1824. Yeah, you read it right, dumbfuck. By the way, you idiot, a white man born in China is Chinese. Or at least in Mexico someone who is born in Mexico has the nationality granted. Freedom included. And by constitutional law, no matter which ethnicity you have, you are equal to any other Mexican (yes, this is somewhat discussable, but it is granted by law). Obviously you will never understand that because you have a trauma with ethnicity. It is very important to you because you grow up believing (some mean people lied to you) making you believe that you are superior since your birth day just because your ethnicity (no matter what ethnicity you have) . What these mean ppl didn't explain to you is that there is a world outside which doesn't necessarily think like yours.

Black people were the original Indigenous Natives Indians in Mexico and around the globe, as Natives Black people were the original black people, that left India and traveled into the Americas and Europe. Black people left Africa 65, 000 years ago into India. Black people were the only people on earth for over 60 million years ago and we built the Olmec Heads Statues and Pyramids Statues throughout the world.

Saludos !

the fair skin was brought by the colonist. the darker complextions where already there. just look at the pictures on the walls. every where the first man walked he built pyramids. it is ignorant to think that an architecial technic that can not and have not been reproduced till today, was some how produced not by one but by multiple cultures with no contact with one another. Thats what they want you to beleive. tribalism is also a shared culture. but it will take hours to compair all of its similarities. Think about it.

Thanks for sharing, although Mexico or Mexican is not a race as isn't 'black' or American. There are razas or races, indigenous and non-native. It's nice to see people embrace their African heritage globally and finally educate North Americans about African influence in race and culture.

She is absolutely gorgeous. I was looking up gardening, saw your channel, and have to say that I appreciate greatly, you showing the culture, and wonderful personality of your beautiful friend as well. I am looking for a woman who would like to date, get married, begin a family, move to Texas, I live a little over a hundred miles away, work a lot, but willing to pay to make a love connection. I’m looking for a woman who wants a humorous, caring, stable, hardworking man. Message me if you have thoughts to share. This is something that is important to me.

You look like a pinay but a mexican, like people think my mom is mexican but she's a pinay. I used to get offended but just learning how two culture in separates parts of the world is like a parallel to each other.

I am Latin American. I see plenty of girls like her all the time. Mexico, countries in Central America. If you want to see many girls like her visit Honduras and or Nicaragua. Oh and also Asians are everywhere. In Cuba, El Salvador. It's funny they speak spanish just like the locals.

Guess you didn't realize this but there were Black Africans in Mexico before the White Spanish took over. That's part of Mexican history that has been swept under the rug. A lot of Blacks are concentrated in the Yucatan penninsula. I'm Black from Panama and Mexicans act like they've never seen Blacks speaking Spanish before.

ddbreakdancer No, Its got to do with history. Mexico (New Spain) under Spain controlled the South for centuries. Capital was San Agustin. Spanish Florida had a diverse army. Spanish, French, Italians, Irish, Austrians, Catholics, Mexicans, Native Americans, Both Free and slave African Americans all fought together under the Spanish Banner. Theirs a great documentary talking about this subject. Anyway, Mexican-American war was a racist and religious war. Mexicans, Catholics don't judge you by your color of your skin but by your character. Mexico had a African George Washington or a African Simon Bolivar by the name of Jose Maria Morelos who Napoleon praised. And a African President in 1828 name Vicente Guerrero. Guerrero wanted to capture Cuba and Philippines since they are part of Mexico (New Spain) Vicente was a threat to US cause they wanted Philippines, California for the Asian market. Central American countries had mostly all the black communities. US ended up influencing Central America to turn its back on Mexico. Divided and conquered. While California defended Mexico during Mexican American War. California had way less people then Guatemala or Honduras. But Yet California still went to war with US. And Central America left Mexicans hanging.

I partially agree with you. Part of this history (the Mexican-African root) has been swept under the rug: I agree. But essentially, there have been black communities since before the foundation of Mexico as a free country. But I don't think they were here before the Spaniards. Regarding Asian root, it is more probable in the pacific coast since there was intense trade from Philippines to Mexico. But that happened through European ships (under the Spanish crown rule). The point is, black race is part of Mexico (not everyone been aware of that, because the art of reivindicating the formant cultures is mainly focused in prehispanic ones, because it is a fact that these traditional communities had remain almost invisible to the awareness of the country. But, yes, they are part of us and, therefore, we need to work more on that, too). We embrace them. Veracruz , and Costa Chica and Costa Grande in Guerrero are the most popular. But obviously Chiapas and Michoacán States have their own black cultures too. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, Mexican is a race an ethnicity origins of the Mexica ancient people. She has a lot Indian roots, and she is telling you she is 100 Mexican, because she loves and is proud of her ethnicity. Negrito do not put words in her mouth. She is loyal to her Mexican home country.
