I think that the husband should’ve been mindful of his wife before bringing/drinking alcohol in the house. Women go through a lot while their pregnant, and there’s a lot of stuff we can’t/shouldn’t do during a pregnancy, so if the people around u aren’t helping u, what’s the point of having them around, but if ur husband doesn’t care/show abt ur well-being, that’s messed up. Hormones in women is already a problem even when we aren’t pregnant, so u become more sensitive to certain things, not just physically, our mental stability is very important to have a normal/non-complicated pregnancy. Now, if the 26 year-old pregnant lady used to drink a lot but now she can’t, it’s a bit careless, from her husband, just to bring alcohol in the house knowing her condition and mental state. Ofc they should talk about it, but if she already told him her concerns and stuff, and he still brought a whole bottle of alcohol says a lot about him. I don’t know those people, and I’m pretty sure that there’s more than I/we don’t know about their relationship. Another thing, if she drinks a lot and her friends are concerned about it, having alcohol around her is also bad because if u are trying to avoid someone, you don’t bring it home. An alcoholic person shouldn’t have alcohol at home bc just seeing it can trigger them and that’s dangerous. So you guys really need to think about what you said about it. I got very confused by your answers. Yes, she might have a drinking problem, and if that’s her first pregnancy (it takes a while to get used to the changes u have to make bc u r pregnant) it’s a bit harder to just get to them and stick to them like if it’s nothing, but yea for her and her baby’s safety, she’s avoiding doing something that may trigger her and harm her baby. The husband needs to be more mindful. I rest my case.

Yeah being an addiction or alcoholic is a real serious issue. If someone is trying to be abstinent, you don’t just drink in their faces. And being the pregnant was not just her choice. She’s giving up a lot, her body, her social life, even her diet. The least her husband could do, is drink on his own time or talk to her about it!

The part abt ancient humans and their roles is actually a bit different. Bc ppl lived in groups bigger than a nuclear family the roles weren't really assigned by gender more by what you look like you are capable of doing or your age and stuff.
