Never Take a Picture with Mimes, Here's Why

Well, to be honest, if you're in another country and taking pictures, it's also OK to "tip" people. Even within the US , when I go to Las Vegas to do photography and photograph some of the dancers on the street or other performers, I'll usually tip them. sometimes it's a buck or two, sometimes its $10 depending on the person (some performers work for the hotels they are out in front of, and those tend to expect more than just a dollar, whereas random street performers $1 or $2 is enough). I mean usually I'll set aside about $100 for this when I'm there, for the sake of tipping people (I do travel photography so this is factored into the budget). Same for if I go over seas, although thats a bit different and just taking pictures of various locations doesn't always mean a tip, such as photographing random people on the street in their city/country. But Las Vegas is known for entertainment so it's sort of expected in a way.

Wow this is great advice, thanks bright side. I think one should be really careful as a tourist, especially here in west Africa. It's easy to get "localled" by some people here. So just act like you know around (try not to show that you need directions, as much as you can)

I was in Italy, and with the bracelets, they often throw them at you then don't take them back, and start asking for a lot of money- like 30$ for them so it might seem rude, but just don't catch or pick up anything that is thrown at you.

I live in Thailand and if u wanna avoid that tourist trap, ask ppl that have cars like Kia, BMW, Sports car, E cars or Teslas or ask ppl with clothes from Zara, H&M, Uniclo etc. also don’t trust anyone in Tuk TUK’s , Taxis or public transport excluding underground/ air trains. Thank me later
