The tune that starts at around the 12:50 mark was also used in the very first episode of DOCTOR WHO - it was the tune that the Doctor's granddaughter, Susan, was listening to on a transistor radio.

GreatTV soap opera 65-66. Luv the theme song. Can' t locate a copy, "Young but never too young." Memories of Tommy Rettig, Tony Dow, Patrice Wymore. Just a great ABC ensemble. Tad too. Show went well as intro to DCP's Where the Action Is. Terrific trivia, rare footage. Incredible archive. Luv it all. Thanks, millions. Super walk down memory lane, pre Vietnam mess. Love and peace and great music snippets. Luv.

I remember watching this as a kid... Right before or after Hullabaloo and Shindig...

October 9, 1965 was on a Saturday that year. Soap operas aren't on on the weekends.

You are absolutely right. There is also an episode dated April 18,1966, that is incorrect. I have a somewhat photographic memory and I know that episide aired before Easter which fell on April 10 that year.

I was an 8-year-old third grader back in 1965-66. Even though I do remember this show, I never saw.

I wrote a personal essay back in 2015 comparing life back in 1965-66 and today here in the 21st Century. I got the idea from one of my writing books on seeing the world through the eyes of an 8-year-old; and I indeed was 8 years old back then. I ended the essay by finding out where today's celebrities were back in 1965-66 by getting information about them from Wikipedia and other sources. And it was published in this online magazine as well.

Oh I agree with you on that. Except for The Amazing Race, prime time TV today is nothing but pure junk! It belongs in the incinerator!

Don't know what occupied me when this aired (GI Joes probably) but I had never heard of this show. With the popularity of some of the Frankie-Annette-Gidget etc movies of the time, it made perfect sense that someone would launch something like this. Too bad it didn't have a longer run. RIP Tony Dow.

Mel Carter has the same style as Johnny Mathis in a different form. He was a romantic singer.

I was a regular viewer. I guess it was the next episode when Tad sped away in a fit of rage with Jojo in the car and crashed somewhere in Malibu Canyon. I confess to having had a minor crush on Cindy Carol (Susan). I was 14 at the time and since she played a high school student I figured she was a year or two older than me. I found out later that she was seven years older than me and married.
