Im married to an Indian man and he is nothing like this! He helps out in everything, he is respectful, very hands-on, appreciative, and genuinely cares about his family and I. We make such a good team together. What I love about my husband is he helps to facilitate conversations between me and my in-laws since we are of different culture. Also, my in-laws are the best parents i can ever ask for. I hope this family can sort out their differences. All the best.

An old housemate of mine was Indian, she worked very hard in University and moved to the UK to work in the blood labs in a hospital. Her mother, father and younger brother still lived in India and in her own words she became very ‘western’ living in the UK and started to dislike the way her parents treated her compared to her brother. Like seen in this video she said boys could ‘do no wrong’ in India and her little brother was treated like a prince by their parents. He was so spoiled he didn’t even know how to make a cup of tea for himself and still lazed about at home despite finishing school. He technically didn’t need to get a job because their father was a retired pilot and had a very large pension so they lived very comfortably yet despite this my housemate was fully expected to send them a portion of her salary every single month. When she got a work promotion her father’s first words were, “Now you can send us more money.” When she would go home for a visit she would be sent a very long demand list of ‘gifts’ to bring with her for the family, like perfumes, jewellery, clothes, shoes, sunglasses and make up all designer or a certain brand. Her brother had a tantrum when she refused to buy him a PS4 (the latest one at the time) and a Switch and she had to put up with her parents scolding her about it the whole time she was home. We’ve mostly lost touch now but before we did she had a huge fight with her family for refusing to meet a man they were eager for her to marry. From what I see on social media she’s still happily lives in the UK, is dating an English man and rarely goes home at all now.

I'm with Jeongmi here. Even when babies are on formula, they can't drink cow's milk yet. It's also not healthy to add sugar to their food. The Korean daughter in law is correct about feeding milk after 15 months in Korea. The reason is that Indian cows produce A2 milk which is easily digestible. Hence, if you don't have A2 its better not to feed milk it becomes difficult to digest.

The main problem here is the guy’s mother. She raised him that way. Until she decides to give him that reality check we all got as children, he will remain a man child for the rest of his life. Eventually, his wife will lose her patience and file for divorce. He is well aware of his habits. And sadly, boys who have not matured yet (like him) move on to the next woman without hesitation. The point is this man is not flexibly coming to same ground with his wife . All he does is goffing around. Why does his mother only supporting him ? For instance-Why does not his mother ever gives a glass of water to her bahu? Why she insists her bahu drinking only one beer can whereas her son is partying on every weekend? Instead of treating her bahu as same level as her son , she is competiting with her. The next point is why is he not taking responsibility of a parent ? Just because he is younger than her. He should have known marrying someone comes with a commitment. My husband helps me too. Even my 4 & a half yr old son follows his father and tries to help me. It's all his mother's fault for raising him like that. Mostly North Indian & West Indian families bring up their male kids like this. Luckily the North-Eastern parts of India are different. Here girl child r valued more and boys r trained to help in household chores just like the girls. Proud to be a North-Eastern Indian. And also giving fruit custard to a 6 month old... I don't know where in India people do that. I have raised 2 kids on home made food, but never used so much sugar & milk for baby food. 🙄🤦‍♀️

This is the second time he was being condescending to his wife. In the first part he shut her down after she suggested getting a round basket instead of rectangular. And in this part he replied rudely again when she simply asked if Indians always eat dinner late. I felt sorry for her as she came home around 7pm and had to wait so long for dinner. Appreciate the mother in law still for cooking but slight consideration in terms of timing could have been improved. Yet the Korean woman didn't get rude or demand her own culture's food to be made. All this time the guy didn't even once offer to hold the baby. Again in first part she was holding the baby for so long in the market even though he as a man is stronger. I have a feeling apart from the obvious citizenship aspect, he also thought an older lady to be ideal so that she would mother him like his own mother still clearly does. He also tends to use her age and physique against her to put her down as his attitude shows towards her whenever she's expressed she is getting hungry. When the mother in law said the man works and provides, I'm sure the Korean lady is actually the main breadwinner and works harder and longer. So why is she not included in being seen as deserving of servitude. On top of that she's doing all motherly duties as soon as she's home as well as house chores. The Korean woman is so respectful and adjusting well to this madness that doesn't make sense to me despite being from that part of the world. If only the mother in law would let her son grow up would he realise and learn to respect women equally. I don't know but the guy seems suspiciously abusive, selfish and immature as well as egoistic and easily offended. Respect goes both ways if he thinks his wife should be respectful towards him same goes to him, treat her kindly too.

My first bf/love is Indian, he's 20 and I was 18. We were in the same international university here in Thailand. He's 100x more responsible than that guy! I am a true hindu and I won't stand here and listen to my culture getting blamed for some mother who didn't know that babies grow and still babies her (idk how old her son is ) son.he was surely treated like a king when he wasn't and am pretty sure not everyone does that. I have a twin brother and things are pretty fair in my household. so I was not trying to be rude and telling them to not have an opinion.i was simply defending my culture against these uneducated fools who think India is uncultured just because we eat with hands.

I used to have this kind of conflict with my mom in law but when i explained in a way that she'll understand my side with the help of my husband, we became ok. I know indians are more on traditional thing but my way is same as korean. No sugar and salt to add in babies food let the baby eat the natural taste. But the massage before bath my 2 kids experienced both.😄
