Look at how everyone garvitates towards Gabriel. He's such a genuine and jovial person. He didn't have to go that far to be approved by his FIL but he still did. His heart is the biggest one of all. 💛

@@jayd4476 It's not about logic, but there's still a correlation. The fact that he went out of his way just to make sure that his FIL accepted him which makes his woman happy is why they believe he has a good heart, he did something kind. Not everyone is willing to do that for their significant other or their family. If you're gonna bring up logic you should be able to understand the situation first

@@diamond4270 Nonsense! The fact that he even "HAD TO" go out of his way to be accepted goes right over you and his head! Did she have to go out of her way to be accepted by his African mother & father??? Why must black people ALWAYS have to bow down and morph into someone else's culture? And in many cases after they have sniveled, groveled, buck danced, disgraced, and embarrassed themselves, they are STILL never truly accepted by the other race. He comes off as a subservient trained pet that traded his dignity for acceptance.

@Jackie McCoy there is a parase I use 'killing the enemy with kindness'. I used to tell my children, if you say 'good morning' to the neighbour and she/he keeps not answering don't stop, keep on saying it, that neighbour cannot tell anyone that you are disrespectful, the neighbour's conscious will eventually get the better of him/her, it's the same with an in-law who does like or want someone to join their family unit, they just have to be themselves.

When I went to West Africa to meet his family, all the women in his family also did not like or accept me. No matter what I did, how humble or giving I was to them, they perferred he marry a woman of his same culture, and told me so. We have been together now for 15 years. @@Cxs1a3 how did I say whites ? Like how it’s supposed to be spelt? Are they or are they not referred to as white people ? Please to read my comment and understand the context. As I’m becoming immersed in Korean culture there are things I notice that I do my readings on. Whenever they do have another race on their shows it’s 90% of the time white Europeans or white North Americans. Whenever a character goes overseas he’s/she’s either in France, England or USA aka predominantly white countries. I won’t get into more politics and history but that’s where I am coming from. Their reaction to darker skinned people or black people is usually way different from White people. But at the end of the their culture is based on family and keeping it in the family. However I am glad to see that long standing status quo is being challenged as they are meeting and greeting people from all over the world and finding love

I have seen few episodes of this show and the white husband or wife is never disaproved by the korean in laws they are actually welcomed with open arms and encouraged to have baby with fair skin blue eyes and asian traits..and yet the african migrants i see here are always facing racism and pigotry from korean inlaws plus korean society and always struggling to get job and provide for their families ..this is not just korea but all ovee Asia. White fair skin is more favourite than darker skin so how we expect people with inferior complex mentality or self hate issues to accept someone who is black skin? Plus why black people looking for acceptance and approval from whites and now asians? It breaks my heart and its really sad how human mind, body and soul are fragile and can be programmed into anything or anyway..personally i say marry within your own race so you don't go thru shit like this and your kids dont suffer...it doesnt mean hate others just do your kids justices and save them from the heartache later in life😌 i wish the world was better place but it aint n never will be...humans are shit

I wasn’t accepted as well by my Korean mom-in-law at first because I came from a developing country. It's not about race or country, if you're a rich person from a developing country, richer than even most Koreans, they will highly respect you. It's just a coincidence that race and country usually does determine your wealth.
@sikreto

@@Cxs1a3Speaking of rich, it doesn't matter too if you're rich or not they generalize it according to your country of origin. My parents even owned apartments and we're born and raised in metropolitan city and finished our Bachelor's degree at young age. Unlike my in-laws who still works here even though they're already senior citizen plus they live in province area not even Seoul . They should be thankful I agree to marry their son as Im well capable of being independent but their son fell inlove with me what can I do?! I used to be a career woman too in my home country before meeting my husband but it hits different once you enter their country and become jobless here because you can't speak the language well. Despite the achievements you had in your origin country once you choose to marry someone from here youre just below. Btw Im not trying to generalize old Korean parents as this is based from my personal experience.😬😁
