This is possibly THE best music/dance/interview video on KZbin I’ve ever seen. These two musicians/entertainers are class acts and to see them performing together is a treasure and a pleasure. Thank you very much for posting this video….Mac

My grandfather danced like this. Wish he'd told me the story of where he learned to do it. He grew up in northern Illinois. Older folks, write your life history for your grandchildren. Makes me a little sad he didn't tell me about it.

The music from this show is on Emmylou's album "Live at the Ryman". I wish they'd re-release the video on DVD!

I saw Bill Monroe literally hobbling up the 2 backstage steps in his later years only to rip it up when he hit that stage..

The song is called Scotland. It was written by Bill Monroe, he's the guy with the stetson who joins EH in dancing. Emmylou admired Bill so much that she practised the steps for ages just to show respect to Bill. The concert the song is taken from is available on CD it's called "Emmylou Harris and the Nash Ramblers at the Ryman" It is wonderful!

"Scotland" - The Original composition is done with layerd fiddles to sound like Bagpipes, but this is a wonderful arrangement that brings to life the heart of Bluegrass which is in Scotland and Ireland.... :)

@@JessCorey Yeah, and I think Hank Garland might have borrowed this tune and turned it into the Sugar foot Rag. They sound very similar.
