Honestly, having over powered characters with insane synergies is just fun. There are a TON of rogue likes and deck builder games that punish the hell out of you. Having one that’s just fun where you’re strong as hell and it’s easy is a nice change from time to time.

Keep in mind double healing is crazy strong. I picked it and shorty after had 200k health. I noticed you picked up the steel ingot. Insane card, upgrade it once or twice at an anvil and your cards get +4 or +9. If you get a second steel ingot and use the first one (3) on the second (1) the second one will give +100 to all your in play cards. If you use a card with good scaling like the visibility potion (4) with the ingots it give you 113*113 dodge and health.

i did break the game with mathilda too :D i had an item that gave me HP Armor and evade x times. I did make that one stronger and stronger. had relics that made if i get shield i get evade, if i evade all enemy get poison. later on i had i cant get armor but when i do i get evade and i had that my hp is not capped on boss round i had like 6k HP 10k evade :D :D

I like the broken synergies, because the game is actually really hard at times. So easy to make stupid decisions. My girlfriend has been playing too. She’s a horrible gamer so it’s fun to see her find a broken synergy and get stoked

As one of the people saying it should probably be less broken, I agree that having runs be broken fairly easily is a lot of fun! It just seems maybe a little too easy right now. On the "telling a story" point, though, being so OP so (relatively) easily is a little dissonant with the narrative of struggle 😅 edit: maybe part of the "issue" is that if you're on a good run, you get good votive altars + maybe a lot of money to spare, and you basically get free pickings, while on a bad run, you don't get the best relics, etc, and it's much less likely to improve. This has the potential to create a large gap between a bad run and a good one. However, many "common" relics seem to be surprisingly good, so maybe it's not as big an issue as one might expect. edit 2: case in point on it being "too easy": after you refused the run-breaking relic the first time, it offered a second copy (and several more run-breakers).

Yeah the effects that have to do with powers are pretty much all broken because you it seems like they're meant for the 8 or 10 cost powers but at the same time a lot of characters have super cheap powers.

I think you missed the tiny part about ingot upgrading only stuff on the current zone and you put it too far back into the deck. Upgrading almost nothing.
