Not only one of the greatest model railroads on KZbin, but also artistic and educational. I've been a loyal follower of yours for years now, and I'm still surprised by each and every one of your videos. Thanks for all the outstanding work. Greetings from Argentina.

I'm a steam enthusiast through and through but I have admit that the Deltics did have character. It must take hours to produce these videos and I'm torn between seeing how you produce them and, on the other hand, maintaining the magic of it all. The audio recordings you use are excellent and take me back to Darlington station in the late sixties. Love that V2 as well, its perfect,

I have never seen a Deltic in real life, but judging by how amazing they look here my expectations are high! I shall be seeing 55009 at the Severn valley not too long from now.

Cool! They look great and sound even better! A Deltic working hard is an experience you’ll never forget - hope you get to see / hear that but on the SVR it will be operating well within its capabilities.

They sound brilliant Steve. I have Nimbus with sound but still haven't run it so to hear the sound yet on my DCC powered rolling road. I've run it on DC and there is no sound. Accurascale has given me the CV values to get the sound working in DC

Thanks very much. One of these was sound fitted and it was very impressive indeed. However it’s dubbed over with real world sounds for continuity with the others.

Personally I think the Deltic's come the closest to the majesty of the A4's, Coronation's and King's. Lovely.

I’ve got to say first up, I’m not really a fan of Deltics😱….. But, & it’s a big but…..what a beautiful sound they make - raw power & it’s hard not to love that about the class. Some of the angles you’ve managed to shoot here are magnificent, it’s nice to see some different parts of the layout too. All I can do is congratulate you on another stunning edit of both shots & sounds. It seems like Accurascale have produced another top notch model as per usual, I’m almost tempted😉 Thanks for doing what you do👍👏👏👏 Cheers John b😎
@NEVILLEGROVE2 жыл бұрын
Thanks John for the great comment, I know what you mean, traditionally for they never fitted in with my focus of interest, but there is undeniably something very charismatic about them - and for me the sound is a big part of that too. This model is stunning and has certainly helped peak my interest in the class - I’m definitely now a fan!
@novakingood3788 Жыл бұрын
I never saw a Deltic at full chat (living in Berkshire didn't help), only accelerating out of King's Cross on the odd occasion I went up there train spotting at the age of 13, which was obviously still hugely impressive, so it's interesting to hear what they sounded like.

Hi - Have recently subscribed after being most impressed by your weathering results. May I ask, do you use ‘Klear’ to obtain the sheen on your locos such as the A4, and if so where do you get it? Also do you apply via an airbrush or with brush? Have also seen it done using T Cut and polished with a nylon brush. Many thanks in anticipation.
@NEVILLEGROVE2 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! Yes I have had some for years. I believe you can still get it but it is under a different name these days - alternatively I have successfully used Humbrol clear gloss and an equivalent by Mig Ammo. Hope this helps.

Oh and airbrush for most projects, but hand brush for a really glossy museum finish.

I have an HO scale Jinty that I bought when I visited England, and now it doesn't work, and I can't figure out why. I'm hoping you have some tips on any problems I should look for?
@NEVILLEGROVE2 жыл бұрын
Not really I’m afraid I’m no expert on getting locos to work again, I’ll be taking mine to Roxley Models here in the UK. You may have to do the same wherever you live but they’ll likely need it in front of them to diagnose the problem.

Thanks, as far as I’m aware the TOPS system was commissioned in 1971 but the Deltics did not receive number changes until 1973 / 1974.

@@NEVILLEGROVE My spotting period was 1969 until 1972/3. There were no TOPS numbered locos while I was spotting. I stopped spotting partly because of the change of numbering system. As a spotty teenager I found it confusing, especially with the numbering of the Peaks. Anyhow, the important thing is, another superb video and stunning weathering. Thanks, Bob
