Thank you for must have a sweaty review. I had a small Ford dealership more than two decades ago, so I respect the brand. I think they have done what Ford is good at which is getting the spec good enough for the rest of us. What I am unsure about is whether they have the price points right today.

To me, the looks! Seems a bit elegant even though it is an SUV. Seems to have some of the US Explorer vibe. On size: similar to a Volvo XC40 (outer measures). Competitive price (I checked the 77kwh rwd) for the WLTP range: no vehicle goes as far for less. Looks plus range seem the USPs, two big plusses. Very few if any negatives. Conclusion, to me, this EV has a lot of value. Seems more the Mondeo price category - I used to have a Mondeo station, now a small EV. Like this one!

Sat in the one at the Everything Electric show London and was quite impressed. A nice looking thing. It is a shame about the touchable VW bits and shiny black plastic but I think the overall design is good. So long as it is priced properly it will sell well but will wait to see.

@@NevoEVReviewIreland agreed. Be interesting to see what Euro Ncap do. They are supposed to mark down cars with absolutely no buttons. I suspect buttons are in the way back for whatever they look for.

Nice review Derek. Are VW building these for Ford or just suppling components, I do think it looks better than the ID4 but they should have changed the haptic buttons and window controls. Select, RWD 77kWh Extended range €43,591 and Premium, RWD, Extended Range €48,006 both with 19 week delivery time.

It actually looks really nice. It does have a lot of buttons and options. It depends on price. It offers a lot. I would be happier with less at a lower price. Software and customisable controls are always key to how much I like a car. FWD does not appeal however. I would prefer a RWD single motor.

Thanks for the review Derek. This has been on my watch list for a while. The fact it's smaller than an id4 is a slight issue for me with 2 kids. Do you know if the thigh extenders are standard or a possible extra? I'm 6'4 and I always appreciate the extra leg support on longer journeys. Cheers

Started off OK until you start adding heat pump, etc. It quickly starts to shoot up over 50k and will most likely be out of budget for a lot of people which is a shame but I suppose it's the times we live in. The government just don't incentivise EV's enough to encourage people to make the switch. The depreciation doesn't help either mind you...

I can see some current owners of Hyundai Tucsons who liked the two screen layout in the Tucson before they ruined it with the revamp going for this if they can afford it and are thinking going electric. So expect a lot of second hand Tucsons outside Ford dealers lol.

@@NevoEVReviewIreland A 27KWh, 2016 Kia Soul; seats 5 in reasonable comfort and gets 4-4.5 Miles/KWh on a run. The CEO of Ford was saying this week, that Ford need to make smaller, lighter EVs, yet this TANK is what they put out.

Get an ad blocker if you do not like the adverts or get You-Tube Premium I here there is no adds on that. I never even noticed them. It's normally one add you can not skip and then you can skip the next one after so many seconds.

Sadly as per all Fords - lots of hard (cheap and nasty ) scratchy plastics.....cannot compete with similar German and Far Easten couterparts - 3/10
