I should be satisfied by now as there are so many Nevsky videos and yet it still draws me in - its just so gorgeous! But added to that is your narrative, a man after my own heart, and a gripping drama to be sure! Brilliant work Zilla 👍

Thanks, Solkills! One of my focus points when I start a video is "tell the story", so it always feels good when someone makes a comment about the storytelling. :) Thanks much, glad you are enjoying it! :)

Yes, and we have some ideas for the Russians too. Volko provided some input on things the Russians can do. :)

Great stuff! I tend to ignore the short scenarios, because I find managing the service time of the lords is so interesting and challenging. This video series reminds me, though, that even just a couple of campaigns can bring lots of tough, exciting decisions. Quick note on an error: At about the 9:00 mark, Hermann gained a provender and loot for ravaging in Uzmen. Uzmen is just a region, though, so he should have gained only the provender. Didn't end up mattering, since Hermann abandoned them both anyway. :)

Totally agree on the longer campaigns, but it would have taken soooo much longer to record. :) ~ And thanks for pointing out the error, I confess I think I must have just totally missed that rule. Much appreciated! I've noted it done, and when I update the known errors section of the video I'll make sure to add it in. :)

Enjoying the series. You do a good job telling a story, which is the case with all of your series. Also, and I can't overstate this, I appreciate your efforts to pronounce things...credibly. It bugs when wargame content creators are sloppy with pronunciation. I get that these are unfamiliar words, but geez do a little prep. Doesn't mean it has to be 100% correct, just, as I said, credible.

Thanks, Marc! It's funny you mention, pronunciation, as I was just thinking that I want to spend a bit more time in that area. :) But I'm glad you're enjoying the series, and I'm looking forward to the next round of levy and campaign. :)

Knud and Able should conquer Kaibolovo: Vladislav's immobility (indecisiveness) benefits the Danes who can take the opportunity to ravage the land and conquering castles and winning points (forcing, eventually, Vladislav to action). In the South, you should definitely have the Teutons take Izborsk and cut Gavrillo off (if you can manage to move both Rudolf and Hermann to Izborsk that would be best as it dissuade Gavrillo from trying to regain Izborsk if only one of the Germans gets to Izborsk before Gavrillo moves).

I think I'll definitely put Hermann and Rudolf #1 and #2 so that they can block Gavrilo off. Volko suggested having Gavrilo raid west, which I think it a good thing to try, if he can keep from getting trapped. :) Up north, I think Knud & Able are in a strong position. Volko suggested that perhaps if they leave Koporye, that Vladislav can sneak in behind and recapture it. We'll see, it should be a fun second campaign. :)

@@ZillaBlitz Volko is right but because it's only a 2 year scenario (if I remember correctly), there may not be enough time for the Russians to recapture lost castles. I don't know the mechanics well enough but after Teutons ravage a "province", can Russians still forage it? Keep those Germans roaming the land so you can rename the campaign to "Zilla's Teutons Blitzing Through Medieval Russia!" (pun premeditated). ;-)

I think the Russians could recapture a Level 1 fort with some certainty, but it would take 2 activations. It's going to be tricky to decide on the command decks for this next round. I'll have to double check on the forage after ravage rule, that's a good question. I hadn't thought of it, tbh. And I love the episode name, ha!
