Don’t know if anyone has tried this already but brook has just released a new converter that is a combo for the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast and I can confirm that out of the box these retrobit wireless Saturn pads work with this converter so Saturn pads for Dreamcast peeps.

These retro bit controllers are awesome with modern Bluetooth technology. However, I have to acknowledge that absolutely nothing compares to the original wireless controller released back in the 90s even though the original was released only in white and only in Japan. You would only understand this if you were around when this console was at it's peak. These retro bit releases are amazing alternatives if you are into older systems like the Saturn because the original wireless controllers are in most cases rare, used, expensive, and only on ebay to be ordered from Japan. I just bought an original open box on ebay for about 70.00 and domestic but I was very lucky because this is rare. Anyhow, I will definitely be picking up one of these retro bit!

I always notice a delay and I don't like that because I know how it should be, it used to work brother 2.4 ghtz. So now would work fine if you sat a little differently or sat a little too far forget it. Just give me a thread okay, sometimes it is difficult but much better and no charging hassle :))

@@NeonPizza80s Man it was three years ago, I don't remember exactly, but wire is always faster. Okay maybe not easier but no batteries needed or empty controllers or dumps with other gear. But Retrobit and 8bitblabla are good alternatief

i had the clear pad with the coulered buttons, and after a few days 2 issues came up. the c- button started to jam and the d-pad froze sometimes, which made you have to reset the console. i have read similar experiences from people online. so i'm hoping this new batch will work better. thanks for the video!

I believe initial shipments had some issues but later ones didnt. Ive seen those same issues mentioned but I never had them happen to me. But in all honesty I gave away most of the ones I first had and bought new ones. I heard one person I gave one of them to had an issue and retrobit sent a replacement part to them.

I have a 9 pin wired for my legends flashback, and a USB of each genesis and saturn. Love them but I also just got a 8bitdo m30 2.4. There really is so many options out there no matter what you choose you can't go wrong

I bought one, these are awesome. Actually ordered another on the way. First one was $20 now 2nd was $35 the ice blue on both. Work very well and you can switch it from 3 to 6 button control as well. Great controller definitely best I've come by and I have over 100 controller's seriously.

I have the slate grey, purchased about 2 months ago, unfortunately the left shoulder trigger sometimes gets stuck in place. I’m sure it’s an issue with the shell mold , the button can be jiggled backwards and forwards to release. Couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of returning, I love everything else about this controller and just wanted to share my experience with others thinking of buying.

I have the RetroBit 6 button for the Genesis and have been very impressed, originally purchased the 8bitdo M30 but was having issues with the MiSTer, I sent it back and am completely happy with the RetroBit controller! I know I could have updated the firmware on the M30 but it was a pain compared to the RetroBit 🤷‍♂️

You make a double-Z motion on the d-pad, then throw your controller into the toilet. Timing is important.

@Madlittlepixel Is there a fix for the battery drain issue for these 2.4Ghz SS controllers? I still have this issue with my controllers while using them with my SS console. Someone mentioned this fix: Power off the console then press R+START. This mode should turn off the controller shortly.

How are the shoulder buttons? My USB wired version of these seemed to have mushy shoulder buttons and I wanted to see if they fixed that issue with the 2.4 GHz version

They dont feel mushy to me, they have a clickiness to them. My original Saturn controllers seem to have less a click and more a mush lol.

The only issue I’ve found with the remade controllers for Saturn is the internal plastic cross attachment for the dpad that contacts the circuit board are made of cheaper thinner plastic that breaks if you press too firmly .. which I tend to do with racing games. Other than that they are awesome!

I think that was only in some of the early ones. I had one of those and it broke but they sent me a replacement cross.

I like the M30 from 8Bitdo quite a bit. I did start having the creaky d-pad issue on them though that I was hearing about and never had happen until recently. They still work fine and I do use them on the MiSTer. But I like using the retrobit controllers on original hardware and the Genesis Mini. But I think either way they are both good controllers. Ive not had an issue with any of the retrobit controllers but have heard some report issues. I think the initial batches from last year some had a few issues with buttons getting stuck and the dpad having probs. Never happened to me but have to be honest I have seen issues reported on both companies controllers to a limited degree.

I don't understand why it works on the ps3 and not Xbox 360. Both Sega and Xbox use the same letters in the same button placement. Not working on the 360 is heresy.

The Xbox 360 uses a special USB protocol that prevents the use of generic USB devices. The PS3 uses a standard HID class protocol which is why the controller is plug and play. I can imagine it's for cost reasons why they didn't bother with the 360. A workaround is using devices like the Titan Two, Cronus Zen, or Brook adapters to grant the controller the 360s USB protocol.

I can tell you first hand that 8-BitDo has a Saturn style pad that works great with both the PS4 and Xbox One, I can't confirm anything first hand about the Retrobit pads but I have heard mostly positive things... The only thing I have hard that could be a problem is the Retrobit pads work with the PS3 not the PS4 out of the box but even then there are converter's for the PS4 that I have seen that take a range of different plug types including USB Genesis and Saturn... But if you really want a standalone for the PS4 that you can be sure works, Hori makes a "Fight Pad" for just about every system since the PS2 and original Xbox...

Try a Hori Fighting Commander. There's even an X-Box One model for proper Killer Instinct controls. They're about $40 & are wired USB. I use one all the time for Street Fighter 5.

The clear blue one was a cheaply made rattlely piece of crap. Sent it back and swapped it for an 8bitdo controller for the Megadrive mini and it was much better in the hands and felt far better build quality while being 15 bucks cheaper. Just warning everyone here.
