I started deep cleaning my bedroom. It’s taking several days but I’m feeling better about it. I’ve been cleaning the walls and baseboards and cleaning the carpets and throwing things away! I work until my body says no more! I call it spring cleaning because by the time I’m done, it will be spring. Haha! My lupus and RA has been acting up but I’m pushing through. I also have adhd and I will start something and go to another. It’s a lot but I’m trying. Thank you for your motivation.

When my girls were little and they started school mornings were a nightmare of looking for shoes and backpacks etc. we quickly established a routine of putting shoes and backpacks in the same spot and checking the night before for everyone. So our Mornings soon became calm and easy. To this day as adults of 30 and 28 they still have everything ready the night before.

We always did a Christmas gift hunt on Christmas morning. There would be a note left on the tree or under the tree telling the children a clue where their first gift was then inside each gift was another clue where the next gift was. We do it every year now with my granddaughter. It's so much fun listening to them read each clue trying to figure out where the next gift is hidden!

I watch every of your videos from both channels. I live in Germany and here Nikolaus is very important for the kids, and maybe for adults also. Nicely cleansed shoes are put outside and Nikolaus will fill them up at night with treats or little presents. For me as a kid (I‘m 64 now) and for my children it was nearly as exiting as Christmas. Thank you for that reminder of progress over perfection. It helps me to stay motivated and focused. We are in the process of moving again!😩. We sold our home of 42 years to our son and daughter in law. Moved to our cottage up north. But it got so lonely and quiet after the summer ended. Missed my friends our church family and the grands. Broke down bought a Condo back in the same area. So, move again . Now it’s progress over perfection . Thanks for sharing and you do encourage me! 🤗

I was not consistent with St. Nicholas with my two older kiddos, but since our surprise child came I’ve been doing it every year. On the eve of St. Nicholas my kids shoes get lined up and in their shoes they each get a bag of chocolate coins, a new Christmas ornament, the two older (18 & 21) get $20 and the little (5) gets an advent calendar and a new Christmas book. Our tradition for all of them has been they can open their stockings Christmas morning before mom and dad get up and then we’ll open gifts. Thank you for being here, Cambria! I followed along while I worked on my own place. I appreciate the video being 30 minutes, so I could use the Pomodoro method and sit and enjoy watching your last moments of cleaning and the final views if the decorations. As for the new toilet, I remember a panel in Mad Magazine board n the 1960's: You know you're really married when a gift is a new vacuum cleaner hose (with picture of the happy couple).

Another comment here. We had gotten our daughter a good espresso machine several years ago and she loved it. It quit working a little over a year ago and it was going to cost more than we paid for the machine to have it fixed. She was told to descale it, but it didn't help. She had done that before. She thinks it may have been their water, so she uses filtered water in her new one now.

Hi Cambriea, I love your bed sheets they are so pretty. Also, I love carpet shampooing and watching it, too. It's so satisfying. With limited mobility, I'm trying to decorate, but it's slow going. My grandsons I raise and myself will get it finished this weekend. Since I'm a widow, I really don't have a xmas list for me. I just have to try to focus on the boys Amma on a fixed income that's not easy, so needless to say, I'm quite stressed😢. Congratulations on the new puppy! My friend, who is a dog trainer, told me when I got my dog that I should be prepared for accidents until about 8-9 months old because their muscles aren’t fully developed until then. She was right. I can’t wait to see Minnie grow up! My mom’s parents were from Wisconsin. One thing they did was Santa brought the tree on Christmas morning. I think that was a German thing. My poor grandparents having to stay up all night putting up the tree! I’m so glad you talked about “laziness” and words meant to shame us. The harder we are on ourselves, the worse the shame spiral can get, and the harder it is to dig ourselves out of it.

I have a funny story about St. Nicholas visiting on December 5. My husband and I are born and raised Wisconsinites (Neenah and Plover) children of the 60s and St. Nick never came to our houses (he’s Lutheran and I’m Catholic). My husband joined the Marines and moved away. We met, married and had our kids later in life while he was stationed in Florida. He retired and we moved back to Wisconsin and that first year our kids were the only kids at Catholic school not to have been visited by St. Nick! They were upset and I was mortified! I reassured them they needed to check the house again and check the mailbox just in case. Luckily they found the candy in the mailbox! St. Nick was more conventional the following years. Merry Christmas!

So glad you mentioned progress over perfection. We just had our floors put in throughout our whole house and it is a mess to say the least. Oh man, I feel your pain! I just had new tile put in a few months ago. They had to pull up tile in my kitchen so it would all match the new stuff and the construction dust was a pain to clean up! I had to mop every wall, cabinet, surface multiple times!

Bjorn needs a spare pair of shoes so he always has a pair if one goes missing. I started to use bleach in my shampooer after you suggested it. It makes such a huge difference in the rugs. I have heard of people doing stockings on Jan 6th, the Feast of the Epiphany, or 3 Kings Day, or on Christmas Day. I had to look up St. Nick's Day. I guess it is just what your own traditions are. St Nick's Day is a nice pre Christmas celebration.

Our family is pagan so we celebrate Yule on the winter solstice. We do put up a tree and until the children stopped believing we did Santa too. The kids in our house (I'm the Grammy) are both special needs and have been learning to clean with you and the other "tubers" that do clean with me videos. Hi Cambriea, back in our country we celebrate three kings day and that’s typically the day kids get gifts, so to keep the tradition going we have stockings that we give to the kids on 01/06. We also celebrate Christmas, and this Christmas I just asked for cash 😅 I feel like I’m so indecisive so one day I’ll want a vacuum and the next day I’ll want a new set of pots. Hi Cambria, here in Belgium we do celebrate Saint Nick « Saint Nicolas » on the 6th of December all over the country ! (it is also celebrated in some parts of the North of France and The Netherlands if I am not mistaken). It is by far the favorite/ most popular celebration for children here as it is their special day. They receive gifts and sweets ( chocolate, marzipan, speculoos and mandarines to be precised). Always watching your videos 😀

I agree our Christmas lists change as adults! I didn’t actually ask for it but I was gifted a washer and dryer last year (the same unit you have!) and this year I’ve been informed my Christmas gift from my dad is the engine for my Trans Am (I blew up the old one in September 😢).
