I'm torn between that..on one hand they're made to be ridden and I'd be very tempted to ride this if I had it..then again, you can always rebuild an old one to rip around on. So, idk what I'd do if I owned something like this..I'd have to hang it from the ceiling so that I couldn't get to it and give into the urge to rip this thing haha

I just bought myself a 2001 yz250. I had the 2001 125 as my first bike so I wanted the 250. Bit of a sentimental thing. But it’s also my favourite model of the YZ. It’s also just as good of condition as this. Only 15 hours on the motor after a full rebuild. New plastics, hardly a mark on it. Love seeing these old bike being restored and ridden.

I have the same model 01 yz250. Does it have original chain adjuster blocks? Trying to find something that'll fit. They dont make aftermarket blocks for that bike 96-01 smh

I had a 99 yz125 basically same steel frame. It was my first big bike jump from a 97 yz80. Good memories on that bike. Loved those late 90s early 2000 yamahas. Big fan of John Dowd too that's about the time he was on those as well i think he took a 125 championship around 98 or 99 on board Yamaha like that

Had one of those absolutely loved it.did some mods to it that I learned grass dragging snowmobiles back in the day.thing was crazy fast.imo don't run engine ice in the older never been apart motor.

I have the 2001 yz125 with Athena big bore kit (144) and it runs very strong. I would love to own this beautiful machine. I personally think it's the best looking bike of all time. Hopefully whoever gets it will cherish it as I would 🤘🤘

That bike is beautiful. I have an 06 YZ 250 and I absolutely love it, I call it the Dragon lol. 2 stroke family here all the way, we have all 2 strokes, we have a 1998 YZ 125, my son races his 04 CR 85 which we did a frame off total rebuild(thing is absolutely mint) We get compliments on that bike from numerous people every time we are at the track(they think were crazy for racing it lol) we have a 07 KX 85 also,we just love them. Love your content, cant get enough of the channel

That is one beautiful bike, big brother. I don't see it lasting long, before they sell it. This must have been before Yamaha started putting blue rims on their YZ's. I was always a Yamaha guy, through and through. Once y'all educated me on the advantages of GasGas bikes, although I still have a lifelong love affair with Yamaha, I jumped the fence to the other side, going with GasGas, because of hard consistent work their research and development team puts in, yearly, that You and Jr told me about. U have a link for that gas tank? Is it a 125 gas tank? That gap from the bottom of tank to exhaust is bigger then I’m finding. All the tanks I’m seeing the picture they show that gap isn’t that big thanks

So I've noticed one major thing change and seniors YZ250 spill over the past five or six years. Initially back in 2018 the 250f technology hadn't quite progress to today's models but so it's not just semantics motivating senior statement of claiming a 250 f is slower than a 250 2 stroke and me being a two-stroke lover I hate that fact but the research and development into the four strokes has gone on so much that to this day I do with the f is actually pretty much the same weight and faster than the 2 two strokes of the time but make no mistake, these like KTM are pioneering new technology and I believe before everything goes electric.... two strokes will have an extensive and a niche in the industry.. and in my opinion come back to dominated portion of the racing scene as a two-stroke scube drumming on with more r&d put into them they will surpass the four strokes once again if that's the case... And the cheap of maintaining and requiring gathering skill sets and the utter simplicity of a racer being able to actually work on your bike if if broken either to build factors to ignore when the average eraser with average income wants to race but can't get in the door do to the limitations of the dollar whereas the skill-sets could be far exceeding that it's unfortunate but I believe the rider is good enough and will stand out enough you will be found and latest and greatest bike or not, such a high skill set will be noticed within the context of the racer and bike , and how the bike was at its peak ability, while the riders skills far exceed d the bikes li.itations and w today's tech, that's becoming more and more rare......
