It's a fish house that goes on a frozen lake. So it's used for fishing, camping, hunting and an extra room when family visit. Advantage is that it is insulated for year round use in cold states like Minnesota. And YES, the ice is thick enough to hold in Northern Minnesota :-) :-)

I built mine from the ground up! If you are crafty and have a bunch of free time or a group of friends that would help you, you can build something very comparable for half the price and probably 10x more rigid! These things usually have many camper components that are cobbled together with pin nails and glue!

Holes to fish through the Ice. You would block up the unit on 4x2 or 4x4's to avoid freezing to the ice

I know I am showing my ignorance here..questions. ..What are the black discs on the floor? Is this some thing you put on thick frozen ice and fish from inside? I live in the Deep South so not aware.
@DMAXRYNO7 жыл бұрын
I may be wrong... but its pretty evident to me that these are ice fishing houses. So with that, those holes in the floor should be where you drill your hole in the ice and fish from. That's why these trailers lower down to lay flat on the ice
@jch68166 жыл бұрын
Being from Minnesota I can assure you that that’s where we drill the holes. With the size of those though it looks as if you could fit a 12” auger maybe even a 14” which is huge considering the average hole size is only 8” which is plenty big to fit almost any fish through (they’re definitely big enough that they can swallow my phone up every damn year lol) but the thickness the ice would have to be for something like this would be a minimum of 20” for me. This thing is just to big for practical use , don’t get me wrong though, it beautiful but just not practical
@SumDood16 жыл бұрын
I work in the R.V. industry, and this thing really isn't all that big.
@Ameliavlogs16 жыл бұрын

Smokey Hills WHY WOULD YOU NEED AIR CONDITIONING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINTER!
@1forthepeople9696 жыл бұрын
In My Humble Opinion, I don't like the design and the presentation could use some work like where are all the 'workings' for it, hot water etc. What are all the large manhole covers on the floor for? I've never saw that before on a 5th wheel. The frame itself is way too low. You wouldn't hardly be able to get in and out of any parking nor driving unless it's all completely flat. Aesthetically it's appealing because of the knotty pine. The shower area could use a deeper tub. Make the inner doable. Thank you for sharing.

Nick Hoban PLEASE tell us what the black discs on the floor are???
@kweinman7 жыл бұрын
Those are what you call catch covers. You pull up on the "lid", it has a handle on it, then you have access to the ground. Use an ice auger to drill a hole through the ice. Slush bucket to catch the ice, and discard it out the door. Basically you rig a set line and wait for the rattle reel. Helps to have a screen cover when ice fishing. People loose cell phones, pliers, and all sorts of stuff through those holes. When not ice fishing, you put the cover back on. Keep road debris from getting inside the trailer.
