I just bought a 2019 (C8) Premium+ A6 w/ 19K miles for $45K - I always go the previously-owned option on luxury vehicles. It is, as you say an older person's type of car, but I am in my early 50s and so is my spouse. I do have a 2011 911, and a 2017 Abarth that keep my spirit young on the weekends (and on the highways). But this A6 is awesome! The ambient lighting option (or lack thereof) bothers me too, especially when you first start it up and it all turns that cool red color; which I could do more than just brighten it up.

Well, it's a couple years down the road. I just checked on 2019 Audi A6s' and most are still going for a little over 40k.

Supply chain problems definitely threw a wrench into everything. If it weren't for that, I believe that prices on these things would be much lower.

It doesn’t take long for Audi’s to depreciate. Sweet spot seems to be around 3 years.

I got one as a loaner when I took my S3 for service, it's really nice. For the sunroof I was having some rattles too and they removed it and greased everything and it solved the problem.

So something interesting. They actually didn’t replace the sunroof. They ordered a new sunroof, dropped the headliner, took the old sunroof off, and then the master tech came in and said no they aren’t swapping it out. Put the old sunroof back on and made some kind of adjustment to it and said it doesn’t creak anymore. I’ve had it back for a few days now annnnnd it’s creaking again. Not sure why they didn’t just put the new sunroof on....

@@TheCenterLineAuto Did your rattle in all positions? Mine only rattled when it was tilted up or open, very weird. Creaking only when IO took tall speed bumps from an angle, but I guess it's normal when the chassis flexes but rattling was very annoying.

It’s not necessarily rattling that much but the creaking gets pretty bad sometimes when it’s full closed. I think I’ve heard a rattle when it’s in the open position a few times but not too bad. I might have to take it back in again.

I didn't even know about the sunroof rattle problem until after I traded in my S3, and it had 32K on it. Now that I've heard of all the issues I'm terrified to even open it on my RS. Having removed headliners myself, I really don't want that done to the car if it's avoidable. Such a sucky problem.

Audi_ophile yeah I was happy when I found out they dropped the headliner to change the sunroof out, decided not to change the sunroof and adjust a few screws on the old one, and then put the headliner back up.

Did you use the Adaptive Cruise Control and the full map during navigation through the new Virtual Cockpit? It’s really nice. Even the media cover art and the pic from your phone’s caller is in High Def. I think it’s much better than the old Virtual Cockpit. You also didn’t show the 3D Virtual car from the cameras. It’s the current best camera system of all the German brands at the moment.

I did not try the full map during navigation because I tend to always use google maps with carplay. In my opinion, I don't know why car manufacturers even worry about onboard navigation these days. The 3D virtual car feature was pretty awesome.

I am there with u for ambient lighting. I have an s5 P.plus and that thing costs 60k and only one color ambient light u get is white and u only see it in pitch black. What the hell Audi

When I had my 07 A4.. the f*n sunroof rattled too! Audi wasn't able to fix it. When I got rid of the damn car, shit was still rattle. & it sucks that the lights can not be customized smh
