Brian...I want to hear more about the different characteristics of the different manufacturers i.e. BMW, Mercedes etc...also how does this a6 compare to your former vehicle, the 300s when it comes to the quietness in the cabin and soaking up the bumps in the road?
@RoadandTract4 жыл бұрын
The 300s V8 is so much more car. The Audi was smaller and had AWD, but the 300s was unstoppable. You'd have to get the S6 to really start trashing the 300s HEMI, and you could have two 300s for that price (or just buy a new 300 every year instead). I do not miss any of my A6 models. I do miss the 300s because it was excellent on the highway.

Is there any maintenance issues or schedules you know of in the 19’s? Looking at used and debated an a8. The only Audi I’ve had was a new 05 s4 that was a nightmare. Comparing Benz and bimmers but we like the price of Audi.
@ONI1013.5 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you knew but in the manual, you’re not supposed to rev the engine past 2/3 max rpm in any gear prior to first 1000 miles. Audi recommends a break in period.

I don't understand Audi's decision to put the jerky DSG in the A6. They should've used the smooth 8sp Auto.
@brainslayer6665 жыл бұрын
its a 8sp dsg and it shifts much faster than any other option. i have one. you dont even feel the shifts. it just speeds up to 260km/h without any interruption. its about performance.
@RobertLeBlancPhoto5 жыл бұрын
brainslayer666 Wrong. Watch the video again. It's the same 7 sp DSG that's in my 2018 S3 and it's impossible to drive smoothly in slow speed takeoffs, such as in bumper to bumper traffic. There's a hard, jerky shift from 1-2 on 1-30% throttle. Exactly the scenario one experiences in heavy traffic. It's annoying to say the least and there's also several 3rd party running companies that offer DSG tunes that smooth it out tremendously.

Why did 2019 Audi A6 feel so cool? Did the designer change?
@ChiroVideosTVlondon5 жыл бұрын
yamada koji yes Marc Lichte - he got the job in 2014 and designed the new A8, A7, A6 and A1 in that year, with the first coming into production in 2017.

So I found a 19 with 41,000 miles for $32000. My question since you've owned a few, is the price and ownership worth it? I'm looking at a 5 yr stint of having it.
@RoadandTract2 ай бұрын
That's not a bad price but I would not own one. I would lease one so I could give it back. But owning one is a risk just on depreciation alone. You are going to lose $20k in 3 years. Plus repair costs. Plus maintenance costs. At that point, $700/mo lease for something new makes more sense.

The part where you rant at 8:52 to 9:01 that everyone is unpredictable because nowadays every car on the road now have the same power output coming from vehicle engines, and with everyone having the same driving habit because no one can seem to pass each other, so the end result, people become aggressive and begin to block other people from passing.... I felt that. This is the absolute truth and nothing but the truth. What is really scary, we have SUV's that are able to do 0 to 60 in under five seconds now. Trucks are not slow anymore by any means. Heck, public transportation busses are not even sluggish anymore.

one thing that always kinda confuses me... is when people are doing reviews for the car, they almost never talk about the radio/infotainment system.... They just go through some of the controls, and that's it... What I want to know... is does it work with Android Auto? Apple Car Play? It has 4 flipping USB ports, and you're telling me they're all supposed to be for flash drives? So I'd 'assume' that Android Auto/Car Play is a thing... Because if its anything like my Volkswagen, the 'apps' button actually means 'Android Auto/Car Play'... but since no one is bothering to mention it, i've got no way to know
@RoadandTract5 жыл бұрын
Yes, Audi supports both Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Although, why bother with the entire system if you're just going to depend on your phone? The built-in systems have a database, traffic, and online connection, and it's far more reliable than your phone when you are in a low reception area (or anywhere in Texas).

The main problem is using it while driving. I have had no problems with the screens staying clean. And you cant really see the prints when the screens are on.
@HDFoxra5 жыл бұрын
Not sure what the problem is. 72k for a touchscreen car? That sounds exactly right. 72k for a button and knob car sounds insane... If i wanted that, I'd go find some 1990's Cadillac... Its 2019, not 1999... The world IS 'touch screen'.... either move on and 'get with the times', or just don't bother and stay under a rock... Yea a touch screen is abit harder to use compared to buttons and knobs, but so what? Just means ya gotta get used to it. Not to mention about 80% of everything you'll end up doing 'with the radio' is all on the steering wheel anyway.... volume control, skipping, menu selection... and ya even have voice commands. I'm glad more and more cars are going to touch screens, as its exactly what I've been wanting for cars since I could drive 15 years ago... Buttons and knobs just aren't reliable... they break, they wear out. Hell the radio in my truck isn't even usable anymore because the volume knob doesn't register that its turning, and the play/pause button no longer 'clicks' and thus doesn't work either. . . Gimme a touch screen any day... at least then if the volume 'button' is broken, its either cause the screen itself is dead which would be very rare to ever occur unless you abuse it, or the software did an oopsie and 'crashed', in which cause I can just stop the car, turn it off, and turn it back on again and PRESTO everything working again. besides.... technically depending on where ya live, its illegal to be messing around with your radio away. In Ohio, the radio is considered a 'distraction' and thus is illegal to 'operate' unless the car is at a complete stop. This means you are technically not allowed to change songs, change radio stations, interact with the map, and in some cases not allowed to even change your climate settings (heater or A/C)... As for the climate controls being a touchscreen, it doesnt' even really matter. its CLIMATE CONTROL.... you set it and never touch it again. With the exception with maybe you don't want the air blowing in your face, or you need to defog the window/defrost the window during winter. But even so, those are literally just a single tap... big deal...
