My wife has been driving a A220 for a few months now and to tell you the truth.... I'm impressed. I've had a lot of sports cars and I'm very interested in the CLA. I'm definitely going to check one out in about a year. I'm getting older and I need to justify my car habits with my age.

@@rrrnaadhey1245 I have a 2021 CLA250 with amg/night package, back seats are kinda tight but I’m 6’0 so take it with a grain of salt. My hair touches the roof in the backseats. If you are worried about the engine being weak, trust me in sports mode and even comfort it feels really responsive

Cla does have more booth space. Frameless windows. Is longer wider and lower. Different front lights. Stitching in the dash.

It actually doesn’t in total capacity it has slightly less. However, if you were also a count for the opening around it is larger but overall it’s probably negligible for most people per example the extra space isn’t going to mean you can fit an extra piece of luggage, for example, and everything else on the vehicle. Honestly, it seems like the air class is the better value it’s cheaper and it overall has more features in it besides the stitching and the sport seats which are going to be a preference that’s literally the only additional thing you get out of it.

Yes, you can. But I have to tell you, these cla sport seats are very, very conformable. I had man, many high class cars. I can travel with that seats for 800 miles straight,without me or my girl, or my daughter have any problems. It's unbelievable, but true!

None of these engines. Its the 1.3 petrol engine in the A200 and A180, dont think they are even sold in the US. I got the A200 and its a good engine, greetings from Sweden. 😀

I’d say the biggest difference for the new gens is the previous cla was a straight girl car , considering I have A3 for them to compete it the Benz was too much of a feminine car with styling and everything now it’s more manly and they made this a220 a mixture

well, they are the entry-level mercedes cars, and both are available as an AMG, though I think in the US the A Class is only available as an A35, while the CLA is available as a CLA45s with 421 HP, which is decent considering its such a small, and still entry-level/compact class car. I think its kinda interesting to note that in the US a car of this class having ~200-220 HP is genuinely considered underpowered, while in Europe this is considered pretty fast and sporty already :P and both are available with smaller engined here, too

Well the AMG model of the CLA 45 is 350 HP and that car is very small and can go 0-60 in 4.7 seconds so the CLA is the true sports version. The A class is there just to say that you have a mercedes

These are definitely meant to be starter Mercedes vehicles, so the truth easiest will probably bump up to like to see class. If they want more power it will get you up and going on the highway with no problem and no issues overtaken people that just won’t be a sporty drive which for the price you can’t really expect.

Remember, that’s also in standard, which is comfort mode on Mercedes switch it over to sport mode. For example, it’s faster, but these engines are more efficient than powerful. Remember these vehicles are for the cost conscious a.k.a. first time in younger Mercedes buyers. It’s essentially a starter Mercedes up for what you getting a class not too shabby.

I understand Mercedes is trying to appeal to a younger demographic but that is just too basic for me, not enough horsepower or Torque and is a front wheel drive platform. Mercedes should have made RWD standard with 4matic AWD as an option. E Klasse is more expensive but that is more in line with what I prefer.

I have an A220 4Matic. I thought they all came that way. They were just invented in 2019. Mine is a 2020. The A3 is sporty, but I’d still take the Benz.

Yes. They want young techies buying the A220…souped up, of course. If you get it fully loaded it can run $50k, but normally about $42K+ if mostly loaded. Navigation system is a waste of money when your iPhone Google maps navigator will run off of the Bluetooth software the same as if it’s built into your car. It’s perfect for a recent graduate starting at Amazon, Microsoft or Google, making $125-200K per year plus bonuses.
