I’m pretty sure that’s the limited. The standard chieftain comes with a 111. The darkhorse and limited comes with the 116

I have both, I have a 2018 Street Glade special, twisted cherry and the rest blacked out, and I have a 2019 Chieftain Dark Horse, bronze smoke. I love both of these bikes, but I prefer riding the Chieftain over my Street Glide.

Good review, it's hard to find anyone reviewing the new 116 indians right now as everyone is reviewing the Challenger. Would love to see the new Springfield Darkhorse ridden and crack that throttle a bit more for me!

Nice review, thanks. Can you turn off that touch screen so it is just dark? Especially at night I would prefer total darkness, except for my lights on the road in front of me

Indian cheapened the Chieftain, if you are paying for touring cruiser, some essentials should be included, like engine guards, gps, better shift pegs... And I own same Chieftain '18.

If Harley street glide special had all the extras this bike has, it would be the ultimate bike. In my opinion.

The chieftain limited comes with a LED headlight. They also offer a different kickstand for shorter riders. The base model also has smaller speakers then the limited or dark horse

So, is it a big enough upgrade you’re considering a change? Trade your SG for a Chieftin ?

Great video, I truly appreciate the information you provided to all of us riders. One question, I see that the Chieftain you tested doesn't come with nav, locking bags can this be added at a later time? Thanks

I looked on their website and they seem to upgrade options for that. You can go here an see all available upgrades and what they look like on the bike.... www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/ EDIT: Choose bike and select "build".

i will keep asking on all these videos until someone answers! What good is a bike if you're limited in who can service them. If one harley dealer has a crappy service department, you can go to another dealer or a private mechanic. what do you do with your Indian if your local service person ends up being no good in terms of prices or service
@jay70664 жыл бұрын
I do not know where you are but, here around Houston there are many private shops that can work on a Indian. Like Victory, they are very easy to work on. The new Challenger may be a different story until more is known about the new powerplant. But my bigger question is, why are you so worried about issues? I own a Victory and it has never given me any issues. It doesn't even burn any oil after 8 plus years. Cost on an Indian , Harley , Honda , Yamaha , BMW , Triumph all are costly within $10.00 shop rate. But Harley riders are the only riders I have ever seen that worry more about servicing and breakdown issues than how the motorcycle rides and performs. I do not know if you ride a Harly but , you seem to have the same issues and concerns.

I have three Indian dealers where I'm at, plus an additional three who know how to service them. Not an issue for me. I do plan to add a harley to my collection in the future though. I like the thought of supporting both manufacturers.
@joedunne94924 жыл бұрын
I believe they are up to close to 300 dealers in the states and they don’t require much service I am on my second one and you change the oil and adjust the belt and you are good to go. Only takes one fluid oil. Great bikes and I have had many brands including 3 HD I love them all! I am not married to any brand just like what I do at the time!
