Hi, thanks for your videos on this motor! I have the same but 9.9B, it does not have the green ingnition button. Do you know if it can be upgraded to electronic ignitio? What parts could I be missing? Also, can I start the motor up with the garden hose connected to the flush port for cooling or does the water have to enter the motor by the lower inlet on the shaft at the bottom?

Love your video's! I just purchased a 2021 Suzukie 9.9. I saw that the manual says to take it to an authorized Suzuki maintenance to have the valve lash checked, oil filter replaced and timing belt replaced. Can you do a video on how those are done? I'm sure it's something we can do at home.
@laingej3 жыл бұрын
Yes sure when the time comes i will do all that. I gotta do oil change in two months .. valve lash dont worry yet.. timing belt is due every 4 years so you only have to worry about oil + filter change for now. I will make videos.

@Kurt hey what year model is it? fuel injected ? Did you check/change oil and filter., ? Make sure is peeing water good dont accelerate it in neutral too much ..it has a rev limiter maybe you reving to high red light come on.in gear you can rev higher. If it overheat red light come on too. If it sat for a while is good idea you replace fuel filter, engine oil and sparks.
