I bought my GTS for the pure enjoyment of Porsche. I drive 19 miles round trip per day, so it would have taken me 2 years to learn all its functions. Of course, I'll be reading the manual cover to cover, you just made it easier. Well done.

What specification and colour did you go for?

@@DrSaahb Gentian blue metallic. They haven't started the build yet so can still change a few things. Still not sure on the adaptive cruise control or overhead view camera. Going to contact the dealer soon to finalise

I think the car in this video has the 360 camera and I do find it super useful. Adaptive cruise is also great on the motorway. Have you used the features before and if so do you think you will miss them?

@@DrSaahb Had cruise before but never the adaptive. The traffic here in the UK is very stop / start, speed up / slow down constantly so hopefully this will be useful.

Thanks for the comment. I did have a quick drive but I only had the car for a few hours so I wanted to show the features and how to use the main controls. Launch Control is fun to use but it was a new car and not been run in, so I did not want to launch it until it has completed its running in period.

Does it have android auto, i wish you had connected an Android phone. And more details on the offroad mode, whats the ride hight.

Thanks for the comment. No Android Auto. Maybe in the future they might introduce it as a retrofit feature. I am an Apple user so don’t have an Android phone. Maybe in the future if I have sufficient funds, then I would have both an Apple iPhone and Android phone. Then I could test it. Porsche GB have said in the future they will invite me to events, so one of them might be to experience the off road capabilities of their cars. I found out this information for off roading: Wading depth (steel suspension) = 300 mm Slope angle, front/rear (steel suspension) = 16.8 - 23.4 ° Ramp break over angle (steel suspension) = 16.7 ° Ramp break over angle (air suspension, highest level) = 18.8 ° Max. ground clearance (steel suspension) = 202 mm Max. ground clearance (air suspension, normal height) = 187 mm Hope this helps you.

Thank you for this video! I am trading in my Tesla Y Performance this week for a new Macan GTS so found this very helpful (including how to fill it with gas 🤪it's been a while). I did have a Macan in 2016 and I am sure the dealership will go over everything with me too but it can be overwhelming so it is good to have this refresher and have a bit of knowledge before I get there.

@@DrSaahb haha I was teasing about the gas, just making fun because I have been driving a Tesla and because of the snarky comment someone else made. Yes will definitely love the GTS, was looking at a T and somehow ended up with a GTS 🤷‍♀It is silver and I am picking it tomorrow 🎉I LOVED the Tesla, I was kicking and screaming when my husband suggested I get one to dip my toe into electric. Just feel they are very common (I live on the west coast of Canada and every second car is a Tesla) and a bit nerdy if i am honest but absolutely fell in love with it. I have been waiting since 2019 for the electric Macan to come out and was shocked at how expensive it was so my husband suggested getting a gas version and within 24 hrs made the purchase but can you believe I needed an afternoon to 'think' about it because I love my Tesla so much (and driving electric), yes you heard right, I had to 'think' about trading in my Tesla for a Macan GTS so I think that is an indication on how much I love my Tesla.

Does the car lock on its own if you happen to forget to lock your car? At least timed locking?

I have not tested this. I think if you were to lock the car and then unlock the car it should then lock itself aslong as the doors are closed. If you open the door at any point then it will not lock itself.

@WC007_D3SIGN I think it can do around 20-25mpg. Usually recent Porsche mpg figures from the manufacturer are pretty accurate

Some people are not aware they can store the gas cap up rather than leaving it dangling.
