My childhood memories of Christmas were always my favorite memories with them, and I instilled this into my children, and I see how they are doing the same with their children, my grandchildren. Lizzy, your new apartment is really nice. I'm sure that you're loving the extra bedroom /office space. It takes time to resettle into a new space. But you've done a great job fitting everything in. Like your sofa it fits perfectly where you've got it. I have to say I would like to see a floor lamp or one of those lamps that like arch.
