To be honest I wanted Rebel 500ABS but I couldn't get my hands on it so I went with the SE model and it really grew on me, color and everything. I love it.

Nice! Yeah, that color is something else and definitely not one you'll see all over the place like a lot of the more "generic" color schemes.

Yessir, they nailed it with the styling thanks to the addition of the headlight cowl, fork boots and seat and of course paired up with the right color scheme is just icing on the cake!

If they made the 500 DCT I'd be lining up to buy one myself. Love the new Titanium paint.

Ohhhh yeah, I think the 500 trio sales would go CRAZY if they were available with a DCT option! I've been saying it since day one, DCT should be an option on just about every model. They nailed the paint for sure! If you haven't seen it in person yet, it looks even better.

@@HondaProKevinEXTRA You know as a customer I like having options. I think that would be a Great Idea! I've been saying the same thing for years as well. I really like the Rebel 1100, sat on a standard one a little while back, exactly the same as the 500 which I rode for the motorcycle course but the standard of course. But yeah I don't why it's not already.

You know what'd be nice? The 750 motor from the NC750 in a Rebel!

I like your thinking! But... if we're going to throw a 750 engine in there, I'd like to see the Hornet / Transalp 750 thrown in there as it'll spank the the NC750's engine but most importantly, to me, it seems to have character. Now, I haven't rode the Hornet / Transalp to experience it yet but just from the specs, reviews etc - it has to be a lot more fun of an engine. That's the only complaint I have out of the NC, its engine is too dull and not rev happy etc, which is what I like but we're all different. The downfall to that though, if they threw the Hornet / Transalp engine in there, it would kill Rebel 1100 sales due to the performance that engine pumps out in comparison to the 1100 package.

I don't get why Japan only gets ugly color options for the Rebel 500 this year. No SE either. Weak Yen and overall price hike doesn't go well in hand with very limited options. If you are paying that much, you better get what you want.

Lol right! It's definitely not for everyone but I'm just glad to see American Honda venturing out on some of the color choices they're picking for us here in the states and not recycling the same thing year after year, to which they're pretty good at doing lol!
