It’s not open-poor black wood it’s fake black plastic. I just got one of these as a loaner car the other day and was disappointed that they’ve stopped using real wood.

Most of manufacturers sadly do that. It is how cars are going. Mercedes done that in the 2016- Today in every vehicle except the S-class.
