Skoda has an annoying habit of bundling options in a pack forcing you to buy stuff you don't want or need
@BuckleUpShow4 ай бұрын
That's not just a Skoda thing, all of VAG do it, but the packs aren't too bad. If you want heated seats the other stuff that comes with them as part of the winter pack is pretty sensible.
@Olliebobalong2 ай бұрын
This is an EU regulation believe it or not. Back in the days where you could specify one option at a time, when it came to the new cars being launched and then given to the regulators to test for things like fuel economy emissions and safety, the manufacturers would give the base models with no optional equipment, which were a fair amount lighter meaning they would give the impression that the cars were a lot more efficient and cleaner than they actually were, but people usually always by mid range cars or higher which doesn’t reflect the cars that are actually sold. VAG happened to be one of the 1st to offer these massive options packages which jump 3k to £4k at a time. Also, efficiency in manufacturing at the production lines mean that the different configurations of cars the manufacturers could theoretically build are only dozens as opposed to quite literally thousands.
@2525Hudson3 ай бұрын
Please Skoda (or VAG as a whole), look at the Honda CRV and work out how they get their rear seats to drop down totally flat, i mean ironing board flat, i do not understand why this cannot be done with the VAG group cars, i have a Fabia and its the same, this slope would serve Thunderbird 2 well for takeoff. Shame really, this really does annoy me.
@BuckleUpShow3 ай бұрын
The Honda CR-V is about 12 times the size of this car, that being said the seats also go flat in a Jazz so no excuse for VAG really

I don't use my car as a van so not interested in space in boot or rear when seats folded down as all the toad tests keep on harping on about.
@BuckleUpShow2 ай бұрын
it's not just cases of using a car as a van, but it is a semi-regular occurrence for people to need to carry something bulky which does not fit in the boot without folding the seats down.

It's easy. The seat actually comes up first and then the back goes down! I am a bit disappointed that skoda hasn't done this

I have one. Boot too small, infotainment glitchy as hell, air con controls are ridiculous and bordering on dangerous as you have to do through dash screen which is fiddly beyond belief. Stop start is annoying. Lane control can’t be permanently turned off. Won’t be keeping it for the deal length. I prefer my older Rapid Spaceback everyday.

Rented one last year. A bland car inside and out. DSG box quite jerky - more noticeable at low speeds. The ride was also poor on rutted roads on the 18" wheels. Its not very SUV'ish either. Doesn't really feel any higher than a Fabia. Overall I found it rather uninspiring.
