Excellent video, we are due to collect our new one in a week's time, with same interior, TDI version, coming from a VW Passat TDI r-line estate, don't make those for Ireland anymore. Hopefully it'll drive as well as you say. Keep up the great videos. New subscriber.

People listen up - ESTATE CARS are just so good - with lower centre of gravity they also drive better. I have a 2019 Passat Estate 4motion with a 189bhp diesel engine and loads of torque - great performance, brilliant fuel economy and so spacious for passengers and carrying loads. So don’t write off estate cars and the Skoda Superb just shows good they are.

I ve been driving and Octavia combi 1.8 4x4 193ps, for more than 20 years now...at the moment I am heading on a new Kodiaq ..the reason?...its off road capabilities...I was pleased enough by my Octavia all these years, but although functioning a very good AWD system, ground clearance keeps it limited in off road expeditions....further more, superb being an excellent wagon though, it is too long, meaning that if you don't t own a second city car, makes it almost impossible to move, in small city corners and streets....if I was about to get a 2wd car, superb would be my top option...and telling you the truth, if you are not about to get it in 4wd, I don't think see a reason why someone would buy an SUV instead of an estate

I’ve seen quite a few new cars with the whole back in black plastic. Looks so cheap! Not sure why they use this as it marks and scuffs easily and dread to think in an accident it would hurt more

It’s pretty standard affair in quite a lot of new cars nowadays. I think the idea is that it’s more hardwearing if a child decides to have a vendetta against the back of the chair. It can’t be worse for safety, otherwise that’d have been brought up by now.

Just purchased an L&K petrol superb. Pretty much pleased but the quality is not quite up there with the best. A few trim problems.

@@BuckleUpShow The trim around the rear windows is in three pieces on the saloon version as opposed to the estate. Both rear doors have the same problem as they do not line up. Have literally just returned from our local dealership in Exeter and they have ordered replacement parts in the hope that it can be sorted. Not a big deal but everyone has noticed how they don’t line up. I guess the problem was just not picked up with quality control in production. There are just a few other minor issues which maybe should have been picked up on inspection prior to leaving factory. But apart from these minor issues am very pleased with motor. One great plus point for me is that has a spare wheel.

I hope this helps the algorithm and reach but why doesn’t rob ever mention how much his height is with hairdo 😂. Slightly unfair commenting on rear headroom when most buyers in this class are not 6ft5 with hairdo

@@BuckleUpShow maybe just a slight nod to that in the review? Not trying to be negative but a passing comment in reviews on average height will be fairer rather than saying every review you do is short on rear headroom

No I get it, but I can’t, as a tall person, know or understand what it would feel like to not be a tall person. So I wouldn’t be able to set the seat to check for knee room either. Mentioning my height should be enough of an indicator for people to decide if they’ll be fine or not, and I would hope most go to test drive the car before committing anyway. For reference, my hair isn’t what I use to judge the headroom, I use my actual head, and I’ve chopped it off since this was filmed anyhoo.

@@BuckleUpShow see my first point. The older you get the more you’ll appreciate an elevated driving position and the ease of getting in and out of a vehicle. There’s a place for all vehicles, i personally love them all in their own way, just like the designers that designed them. I guess I just love motor vehicles, I don’t have to pin my flag to any mast in order to be controversial, just need a vehicle that works for me. You should try the Macan GTS gen 3, would love to see how you rate that as an ‘on road’ SUV. 🙏🇬🇧❤️

DON'T BUY, the car is a disaster! Full of software faults that make the car dangerous. Mine has been in the dealership for 4 months waiting for Skoda to pull their finger out and sort out software. I only drove it 5 miles before the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree with fa. Skoda are now giving full refunds. Question is,as so many cars around Europe have these faults and Skoda can't sort the faults after 4 months , did Skoda know? Are they guilty of knowingly selling un-roadworthy cars?

I confirm that there are a few software glitches but nothing serious on my side. And nothing that puts safety at risk. And the car is fabulous in term of driving experience, comfort and efficiency. Mine is Laurin & Klement with full options and phev. 4000kms so far, 2/3 on highway in France (130km/hour). 2.9l/100km average.
