Hi James, I bought the 18" Myra Power China cymbal back in 2015 because of your demo... It's the best China cymbal ever! An aggressive, trashy sound and perfect decay time. Unfortunately, I'm a med/hard hitter and it cracked after a few years... Now I only use it for studio recordings ;) Glad to hear that Stagg is back. Hope they revive the Myra Power China again! :D

Who knows?! Had to hear that you liked it though. If you like that, check out the 20” traditional lion China. I’ll be doing a demo of that soon too

I am a guitar player and we are about to start selling stagg. So I came to learn about cymbals thank you for the lesson. Your playing is incredible well done.

Thanks! Stagg make awesome cymbals, I’m sure you’ll do really well with them. Also check out the new SEL-DLX guitars! Amazing guitar at that price point.

Awesome video showcase as always bud 😎 I usually love the brightness and appearance of brilliant finishes, but the convenience of the roll off for studio use/mixing, with the unlathered Myra range, is super cool 🙂 I found that my older generation Myra crashes, carry with them, that full bodied tone, nice to HPF them sometimes, to clean up some space for the drums etc.. great to see your new Stagg video's, top man, take it easy 😎 \m/

Are the raw crashes somewhat paiste Rude ish ? Or are they to "controlled"
@James-Chapman-Drums3 ай бұрын
They’re a bit different. They aren’t as thick and bulky sounding as the Rudes, but they do have a slightly more controlled top end. But the thinner nature of them means they open up more than the rude. They’re a nice alternative for people that like Rudes I think.

@@James-Chapman-Drums thanks for the detailed description James, it sounds kinda exactly what im looking for!!! My main point about the rudes is the loudness and the unique "character" they have instead of regular brilliant metal cymbals. Already loving my full set of genghis exos but surely will get the myra raws now. Thanks !
