Very predictable through the corner and coming out is very planted. Not a huge fan of the regen mixed with the regular brakes but I will try different settings next time. The lower center of gravity and very quiet so you can hear the tires working, makes it super easy to drive. Track days would be perfect for this car just make sure you have a 250 kw Supercharger close by between sessions. Most people are probably not going to drive it this hard.

Great vid! Thanks for putting it out there. Here are some of my takeaways, let me know if you agree: 1) the Perelli’s are OK for the streets, but some Michelins would be good right now. 2) staggered set up is good for range, but for cornering looks like it would do better with 275 square instead of the 235s. 3) The new rear 4DU motor is Thirsty! You went from 83%+ to 30’s% in those laps. Thus, some shorter track days for some especially with regen low or off.

Hey Tanner, what was the alert that kept popping up at the bottom of the track mode throughout the run? Was it brakes overheating?
@tannerbaer3 ай бұрын
Yeah, and power reduced for the battery and motors getting hot I'm assuming. Kinda hard to read. Wish they were a bit bigger. Was waiting for a full on limp mode but only took away 25 percent of the power and brakes felt fine.
@natew20313 ай бұрын
@@tannerbaer Dang! Did you have regen braking on full for that run? Not sure when you’ll be able to do another run, but I’d love to see what 10% or 0% regen braking would do, I’d push climate control up to 76 or higher if you can take it. Again, great video. Love the helmet. 👍 This issue reminds me of my Infiniti Q50 twin turbo which needed more cooling because the intercoolers and main engine cooling shared fluid, which sucked when it overheated. Engine lost power when I was south of Vegas and it was over 120° outside.

If you're coming from a manual trans car before, the regen braking should feel similar to engine braking and you can use it to balance the car for cornering.
@tannerbaer3 ай бұрын
If only the Regen was a lot stronger. You come off throttle anything over 110 and it keeps the same speed for a long time even with some brakes. Entering fast corners you go full throttle to brakes for a faster entry. Coasting would just make it a slower corner but might be easier on the temps...
@mmark3003 ай бұрын
@@tannerbaerI think a big issue is when the batteries change temps, the regen will change so it's no longer consistent. I would think regen on minimum would keep things more consistent.
